Wait until herb.burdette shows up to join all you OSU bros to tell you about another Elliott…John Jumbo Elliott. The 80s where wild times when we recruited by naming convention. I’ll make you feel at home with even more herbing with a factoid. The Monday night miracle Jumbo was involved in. I’d post the Monday night miracle link for your viewing pleasure but it won’t link because NFL reasons but you can Google. Wild shit and catch.
On behalf of the Georgia, LSU, and Clemson faithful, I look forward to welcoming the next member of the 15-0 club. Can't wait to see when/if a team can go 16-0 in the expanded playoff/super-conference era.
this isn't to discount how meaningful it would be to Michigan to win a 21st century title under Harbaugh, but Washington winning the natty with Michael Penix as QB would be insane and something that seemed completely inconceivable a few years ago. they kinda peaked as a 10 win team in the Chris Petersen era, and went 4-8 in 2021.
They went to the 4 team playoff in 2016 in Petersen’s third season and went 12-1 in the regular season.
I will be rooting for Washington, but, Michigan fans, please know that I don't give a shit about the cheating scandal and it's all about how naturally the Go Dawgs comes.
I've actually been a fan of the Michigan come up and overtaking of OSU the last few years, but yeah, this Washington squad is just too easy to root for.
I must say I do find it tremendously funny that some of the same posters who repeatedly scream, “all Astros are red letter cheaters for all of eternity and must die painful deaths” are now all, “well shucks wolfs, you really messed up, I guess we better let bygones be bygones and let’s just hope the best team win this Monday ”.
I'm cheering for the idea of a program like Washington winning the championship moreso than specifically for them or against Michigan, but I guess it amounts to the same thing. Go Husks! or dawgs or something
The conference voted and we’re rooting for Washington to win in the most embarrassing fashion for Michigan possible
As a firm believer in democracy and doing whatever the Big Ten wants we will proudly vote* in whatever direction is best *this applies to sucking dick as well, please save us from this hellish existence
Tight game I think. My shitty score prediction that will inevitably be wrong. Washington 34 Michigan 27
I hope Washington wins. But in the “anything goes” version of CFB we have currently, it would be fitting for a team accused of running a spy ring to win the national title in the same season.
Never forget Willie Taggart offered Penix a walk-on spot when his QB was James Blackman Spoiler also that Noles woulda smoked all yall
I'm RJF-GUMP levels of delusional about this game, fwiw. Don't think Washington is anywhere near prepared for the type of defense they're about to see and think Washington's defense is akin to what Michigan rolled through in the early part of the year. Washington's offense is the best Michigan will have seen, but the PAC plays such shitty defense it's hard to say how much better it is. 38-20 Michigan
I dont know, there's also just as much thought that michigan hasn't played a single quality offense all season
Penix can actually read a defense and will step up in the pocket , side step oncoming blitzers, and find the open man downfield. I'm bullish on Washington.
I'm choosing to place a positive spin on either outcome - Michigan wins: continually get to respond with an asterisk to all my Michigan friends any time this season is brought up. - Michigan loses: get to keep mentioning they haven't won an outright title since a few years after WW2
I want a good game. I'll admit the thought of watching Michigan win an outright title makes me feel ill. I hope Michigan loses but that we can all find happiness together when the lions win this year (lol), the wings get it together, or the tigers finally do it again.
