Max has won 30 of 35 races since Toto made the FIA change the floor height rules...talk about all time own goals
Race ended without a single car close enough to get DRS lol. Only two were under 2 seconds. Off track drama is carrying things right now.
It is, but albon has a YouTube video where he explains being verstappens teammate. He said it wasn't so bad at the beginning, but max likes a sensitive car and that is where he finds gains. He said as the season wears on and they tune the car, max puts so much pressure on the second driver to try to keep up and that's when mistakes happen.
race was uneventful but the hamilton-piastri stuff was good. it was pretty interesting to watch two "high-level" cars that are complete opposites of each other re: corners and straights.
Proud of the Haas boys. Hope they can keep it up as the seasons moves on. They seem to have decent leadership now instead of a walking meme
saw this on reddit and had no idea what i was supposed to be looking at i assumed there's a dent in the "Ray" part of Ray-Ban but i can't honestly tell if it's just the car shape
If they fire him now it means it was true and they decided to just ignore/bury it before. Its the worst outcome possible for RB.
Guess we'll see on if/why he is fired. If they say because of improper conduct or something then yeah this is insane. If its just fired because we want to and he gets fully paid out then yeah this is because of Max.
RB, as a consequence of having the best car and best driver, has an obligation to keep the drama and leaks going for the rest of the season tbh
So many wasted thoughts and words over the last month regarding RB reports that people just made up and no one will ever know the full truth anyway. Fire him, don't fire him, just pick one and turn the page onto the next thing. I'm ready for the next chapter
Best part of the race for me was when they cut to the Lewis onboard camera when he was within striking distance of Lando and the McLaren just went nuclear into the distance during those high speed corners at the beginning of the track. Pretty sure they even had a clip from Lewis saying "wow they're fast."
As a Hamilton fan, with each passing week I cannot be more elated that Lewis is going to Ferrari. Not that I expect Ferrari to be able to compete with Red Bull next year (no guarantee from 2026 & beyond, either) but at least they are trending in the right direction. Listening to Toto has been excruciating for the better part of three years. He’s so clearly lost because he speaks out of both sides of his mouth every race weekend. We are in now in the third year of new regulations where Mercedes flip-flop from “we have a stable platform to build from, and we no longer have correlation issues” to them stating “it was a frustrating weekend and we don’t quite understand why we were so slow.” Can’t wait for Mercedes to be “back” in Barcelona for the third straight year.
This is the shit I’m talking about. In preseason testing the car was supposedly behaving exactly as the simulator said it would, and yet two races into the season….
And then the first half of the race was Piastri and the same thing vs Lewis. Both cars are fatally flawed to where they struggle to pass each other. Brutal for racing.
Russell, like Leclerc, is fast and sometimes error prone. Lewis just needs to sort out his qualifying. His race pace has actually been faster than Russell the last two races, but he’s qualifying too low on the grid to have anything to show for it.
Just laughing at the idea that anybody, particularly those who get paid for clicks, are going to move on from this story or that most fans of F1 would prefer to move on at least until the truth is told. Horner wanking on planes? Max’s dad having a mistress? The most dominant team in F1, likely to run off title after title absent any drama, having a palace coup? With the obvious statement that harassment is bad and if true he should be fired, until that is laid bare as fact or false the rest of this stuff is literally what F1 is built on especially when on track it’s not even a competition for the titles currently.
You really read into a whole lot that wasn't in my post. Again, I'm just wanting the page turned and the final decision to come in re: Horner's firing or not. That's not really a wild take.
Saw this on the track at the indy grand prix today. Learned from the FIAs mistakes and glued that sucker down.
Lando was more or less matching Max in sector one. Shit looked like a video game. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https://i.redd.it/zzuptzhl2knc1.png
Regarding Hamilton seems he just became disillusioned and apathetic towards Mercedes. Just finished DTS and there’s a bit where he said that they just stopped listening to his input and basically told him to shut up and that the knew what they were doing. And he was just like “OK then”
have we considered that Toto is actually a horrible team principal that just inherited the dominant care, didn't even maximize the value out of that, and now isn't able to drive team forward?
