That Wayzata number seems way off. It may just be a matter of what is counted. Wayzata has the richest part of Lake Minnetonka but there are all these little towns of like 100-200 people. Orono would include Long Lake too. Even the Edina can be separated by zip code. The one by Southdale skews it significantly down because it has apartments. That and a bunch of rich retirees.
I feel the floor of getting into Edina is more expensive than about anywhere, outside of maybe North Oaks? Communities on lakes have about infinite high-end ceilings.
A small sample/point in time but it’s illustrative. The irony too is that Chanhassen has a similar household income level to Edina. I could nitpick differences (part of Chan goes to Mtka, Chan includes Victoria & Carver, etc) but the base numbers of “Chan” vs “Edina” are not very different.
