Yea half my stack was already out there. Guess I could have checked behind but thought he had a K and went for value, not 3-6 offsuit smh
Played a home game today and hit a Royal flush. I had AQ hearts and rivered a the King to beat a kings full house Ended up winning the tourney on a straight flush
I was in a regular card game for 6 or 7 years from age about 18-25. It was dealer's choice, long before Hold 'Em became the rage. We alternated through variations of Stud, Draw, etc. We had a running rule that whoever made a royal flush (no wild cards) took every chip in play and the night was over. It never happened.
Also to add on to the story, the guy who had the full house had the chips right in front of him and started grabbing the chips and pulling the pot in and all of the cards and muck cards. He was talking shit. I go “wait wait wait stop, I’m pretty sure I have a royal flush.” Verify that I have it and the Royal flush and I mock whatever his comment was. I was pretty calm for having a Royal flush.
maybe you just played poorly? I’ve played in about 400 games over the past 4 years here, I miss a lot for sure, but it’s been a fun weekend game when I play. Hope we can start it up again in the future with good players slow and fast.
Sure, bud. Keep up the 1 game per month and make sure your voice is heard about your game experiences.
