George has been faster in 12/14 sessions this year and almost none of them have really even been that close. Your man is old. It happens.
Red Bull needs to get Carlos into that second seat. Ferrari and McLaren are competetive enough now that they can't afford for Perez to just chill 30 seconds off the lead. That's going to lead to P5's and P6's all over the place and put the constructors title at risk. Carlos already knows what it's like to be Max' teammate. Just do it. It makes too much sense not to.
That race really shows how good Max is. Both Mercedes saying the Perez red bull was a rocket ship and Perez grinded out fifth. Sheesh
Watched the replay, did they show what happened live? Camera was of course on the boring shit then all of a sudden cut to Russell on his side.
I think alonso went in real slow to that corner and George ended up on his ass going into corner and lost the car.
He slowed down way more than normal going into the corner so George had to get heavy on the brakes and he locked up. Mercedes argued that he essentially brake checked George and caused the crash. I guess the data backed that up.

There was some discussion in the thread about F1 teams being to good on reliability and we finally have engine, brake and other failures. Now if only Max can get another 8 DNFs we might get a title fight at the end of the season lol.

Y’all are hilarious. RB obviously got it wrong this weekend and even Max wouldn't be guaranteed the win. Tyre deg was all off and their pre race wing adjustment didn’t help.
It’s pretty incredible as bad as Merc has been they are still in front of Aston. Surprise of the season has been Haas imo. Everyone had them at the back with Alpine and they have really made the jump. I think they are getting a ton of benefit from Ferrari fixing the tire deg issues on the parts they share.
