Couldn’t get that to work but this link works well. Scroll down the page a bit. https://mlbwebcast.com/kansas-city-royals-live/
Brought in some Matt Murdock guy to relive Ragans and he’s aptly named because he must be as blind as daredevil. Throwing it all over the place.
That's unfortunate. Just one of those weird situations where the correct pick just didn't end up working out. His career is a mystery. Dominant in college with a huge K-rate and low BB-rate. Then he gets to the minors and the walks spike out of control. I'm sure our incredible pitcher development program wasn't at fault.
Massey has back tightness but sub him in and my guess is this is the starting 9. Hope Waters can CF at some point, a lot more upside there. Edit: also on Ballys tonight
Did not expect that. Was hoping someone would take Lyles spot but did not expect Marsh to be that someone.
To/for what? I suppose he could become the world's highest-paid BP pitcher. I agree he will get moved ASAP but not "early" this year as he currently has negative value. I think you can at least get a dart throw for him after he builds up at least a little value out of the pen.
cash considerations would love to play for the royals again and there have been a few SP injuries out there where an innings eater could come in handy
Which teams are poised to surprise people the most in 2024? Here’s what the players think. 1. Kansas City Royals The Royals lost 106 games last year and haven’t posted a winning record since their World Series championship season in 2015. But Kansas City was one of the most active teams during the offseason, adding veterans such as Seth Lugo, Michael Wacha, Will Smith and Hunter Renfroe to a young core led by burgeoning superstar Bobby Witt Jr., who signed an 11-year, $288.7 million extension in February. That came on the heels of the Royals landing potential ace Cole Ragans from the Rangers in a trade for veteran reliever Aroldis Chapman last summer. The club's moves clearly haven't gone unnoticed around the Majors -- more than one-quarter of the players who were surveyed named Kansas City as the team they think will be the most surprising of 2024. “I wouldn't be surprised if the Royals are in first place in the [American League] Central,” said one National League pitcher. “Everyone saw all the moves they made. Almost every week or so, it was like, 'Oh, Royals sign this guy.' They were at the bottom of the totem pole last year. But when they played us, their offense -- they had enough young offensive guys that could really swing it. “Now they're bringing in pitchers, they're bringing in veterans. If they're doing that, it's a clear attempt to be at the top of the division. They can see their division's up for grabs, so I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they were up there.”
75-87 is my prediction. It definitely helps that the division is pretty weak. It all comes down to the young guys and who can take the next step - Vinnie, MJ, Maikel, Velazquez, Massey/Loftin It is good to see that the production from Maikel and Velazquez last year wasn't just fluky. Maikel didn't show much power in the way of HR but his Exit velo and HardHit% are upper-level. Same with Velazquez. He strikes out way too much but he only had a .220 babip last year. I'm still patiently waiting for that MJ Melendez 30-HR season. I just know it's in there somewhere. His exit velo is elite (when he makes contact) and his HardHit% is upper-level. Watching him play the field hurts my eyes though.
I think you need to subscribe to the BallySports+ app (I am not able to install that app on my 2022 TV the last time I checked, but think you can on an AppleTV) or subscribe to fuboTV to get the Bally's channel.
Took the day off. Kids going to grandparents. Good weather. Wife and I are going to Opening Day. Should be a good day.
A good buddy has made it pretty high up in the royals world so I'll be frequenting this thread if I get any info Tuesday
That was certainly a game of baseball. I’ll take Ragens 9/3 all year. Need to find production from 2B/CF. Hopefully 2 of Massey/Loftin/Isbel/Waters can provide that, Frazier ain’t the answer.
I love looking into the booth during breaks. Hud is 100% authentic, even during breaks he flailing his arms and being a huge goof.
