Yeah finally was able to go by and pick it up

 

I think I messed myself up by watching a bunch of reviews, but it’s pretty dang good

 

Yeah 13C has a lot of haters online, and they do themselves no favors. But at the end of the day it’s really good tasting stuff

 

Jealous of that one. Probably the whiskey I most want to get my hands on for some reason. Hopefully can get this years release.

Opened up the 2023 twice barreled heritage rye tonight and the bottle is half gone, it’s delicious

 

I never came across that one either. I'm pretty sold on what JD is doing lately. I want anything and everything they put out.

 

Had it, I’m more of a willett rye guy. Something about that taste I enjoy from their products. Rowans creek and old bardstown are money my pallet currently.

 

Got the notification my Holladay has been shipped. They must be shipping them in waves. So should get to try it this week.

 

Anyone know if these Holladay have started popping up on secondary? Curious what the taters think they can squeeze out of this bottle.

Never had the 25 but Michters 20 was one of the best things I’ve ever had. Idk if I’d pay secondary for one though. $4k+ is toughhhh

 

I had it 2 years ago and thought it was forgettable, but I also don't love the oak so... 20 years is a long time

 

Some people love heavy oak. Detlef Schrempf can't get enough

When you say isn't good like isn't good bourbon or just not the good 13th colony? I figured it wasn't the best one they do.

 

Their special releases are the ones people really want. It's different distillate than the normal stuff which just sits on shelves down here.
