im really not sure what to say. Last night I admitted to ohhaithur that since I wasn’t as knowledgeable as others I’d defer to them and that I was basing my opinion on what I watched last night. That is me admitting I might have been wrong. Not sure what else I can say.

My daughter has 0 athletic abilty and no real interest in sports, but she has been doing just that and is thinking about giving basketball a try next year, thanks to this(shes 10). My son, who is 7, can also be heard doing the same thing. Its been extremely cool to see how these last 2 years of womens basketball have shaped my kids' interest.
also because South Carolina doesnt bring the drama that LSU does even though everyone should be watching them anyways
South Carolina is too boring to draw the ratings Iowa vs LSU part 2 did, no heel Mulkey or Angel Reese on the other side.
The sport itself is in great shape; lots of great young players coming into the bigs. It will not be the kind of national juggernaut it once was, but regional support is as strong as ever and will sustain it for a long time to come.
They need to reduce the NBA to 72 games and Baseball to 144, and they both need to put more games on tv.
125-130 seems good for baseball. nobody needs a sport to last six fucking months each time. the reduction in games will yield a higher caliber of play as well, all of them are dogged by the POs and dragging ass. fewer injuries should follow as well both related to simply fewer games as well as not overworking players.
NBA/NHL calendar is longer than MLB when postseason is factored in, it’s just that MLB teams play mostly 6 games a week that make it feel longer. I’d like all 3 shorten their seasons, but means less money for owners and players. Thus won’t happen.
On the phone with my Dad Dad - “I think I’m team Iowa this weekend” Me - oh my god, not you too Dad!” Dad - son, SHE HAS TO FINISH THE STORY!” Me - “bye dad” My dad hates Cody Rhodes and doesn’t want him to finish his story at WM40.
Maybe but she clearly just wasn’t a good fit at LSU They need to just regroup around Flau’Jae and Mikaylah Williams now that her and Angel are gone
OSU could use her. Well, maybe not. We got the #1 PG coming in next year. but lost a really good one in Sheldon.
This is a silly ass comment considering they draw 16,000 fans a game and have several of the most athletic girls in the college game on the team. Fulwiley is a star she just doesn’t have the name recognition yet because she comes off the bench and can’t use 30% of the possessions.
eh, women's bball still needs hooks right now if you're talking huge numbers in a national game. Mulky, Reese, Clark are all hooks. there was a looooooooot of hate watching in that game, I guarantee you. probably chuds who'd any other day totally mock the sport were tuned in to watch. Carolina is elite but boring. no out of line personalities, no overwhelming 0.00001%er talent, Staley is a cool customer and they've reigned at the top long enough to be acknowledged but not long enough to be hated like with UConn. the Carolina/State game won't draw much, UConn/Iowa might do decent and if it's Carolina/Iowa then it'll get great numbers mainly just for Clark but it's not going to do Iowa/LSU numbers. I wouldn't take it so personal, LSU/Iowa was maybe the best story women's ball has ever been able to offer since the days of UConn usurping Tennessee's throne.
SC's starting 5 next year could be interesting. Pao Pao, Raven, and Ashlynn seem like givens, and it's hard to imagine Fulwiley isn't a starter, but then you have Chloe and Bree who both are going to push for starting spots plus Adhel Tac and Joyce Edwards. Which is the better starting five? Raven Johnson Bree Hall Tahina Pao Pao Chloe Kitts Ashlynn Watkins Or Milaysia Fulwiley Madison McDaniel Tessa Johnson Joyce Edwards Adhel Tac Plus Sania Feagan, wherever she fits in Probably the first one based on experience, but damn that's a lot of talent.
wasn't it last year where the Final 4 amenities and weight room were a complete joke that got mocked on social media? I mean, the NCAA is letting giant human beings sleep in twin beds with their feet probably hanging off the end like an old cartoon and using dogshit airlines to save money on the men's side but it's wild they still can't put forth a little better effort for the women, who are clearly the draw this year.
I think that was 2021 during COVID. But yeah it’s almost impressive how consistently terrible the NCAA is at doing anything correctly.
I just remember the weight room being like something you'd see at a retirement community. a couple treadmills and a handful of dumbbells and the men had this wholeass gym to use. billion dollar org and whatnot.
I don't know if anyone listened to that interview or not. I only listened to a small portion of it, but Clark was in an area where she could barely hear the reporters and you could barely hear her answers because of forklifts in the background. Pretty hilarious setup by NCAA.
