Really proud of the guys going right at them and not being intimidated. We didn’t look scared and looked really prepared. We didn’t rebound well down the stretch and that was the big difference. UCONN is a load and they defended us as well as anyone has all year.
Proud of the effort. Wish we could’ve found a way to get some shots off in the second. Not going to reflect on the season right now. I’ll do that later. I’m proud of the effort. Our guys didn’t look scared or shy of the big stage. Get some pieces, let’s try to do this again next year.
Believe we would have beat Purdue tonight playing like we did but hats off to UCONN just a juggernaut
Hell of a run for these guys and they played pretty damn well tonight! Very proud of them despite coming up short! Made it further than I thought they could. I want a shot at Hurley again next year when we have some more length. The bar has been raised for the program and I will remember these guys fondly, flaws and all.
We lost to a better team tonight. I’ve watched so many talented UA basketball that didn’t give a shit. This team wasn’t the most talented but they competed their ass off every night.
Impossible to not be anything other than thrilled with this season. Lost to what is likely an all time great team, but we turned into an incredible team in the end. The defense in that tourney run was something else.

Absolutely. Proof of concept for Nate’s system. Now we know it can get us where we want to go. The visibility of the run will definitely help in the transfer portal. If we can land the right guys, keep a few on the team, and bring in an awesome class. We got a stew baby
Nate Oats on Grant Nelson: "If Grant's stock rose enough to where it makes sense he leaves, I'll be the happiest guy in the world for him. If he needs another year of college, I'll welcome him back with open arms. I'd love to welcome him back for another year. We'll have to figure that out in the next month or two, however long it takes to figure that out."
I love Wrightsell but he isn't reliable anymore. He's fine when he plays but he doesn't play that much. He should retire
Sad it’s over but really happy and excited to know that craving these big games in front of all of the lights isn’t something outlandish. The standard has been set, so let’s get back.
If Wrightsell can come back, you bring him back. He’s one of the best shooters in the country. We obviously need to make sure his health is in order and he needs to have a very serious discussion with the team doctors and his family. But if he is cleared, I’d love to have him back. I think that discussion is going to be a difficult one though. He needs to worry about the future and his health in it. Haven’t really digested the loss just yet. I’ll post more about who I’d like back/not back and overall how I feel about this team and program soon. I will say I am proud as fuck of how we fought all night. The last few minutes we let off and allowed them to make it look worse than it was but very happy with the effort and fight we showed.
