In addition, we desperately need another midfield option (or two?). Odegaard can't play every second. Jorginho/Rice offer very little in terms of chance creation. Rapist is washed. Fabio and ESR are basically useless. Gonna be v cool to watch Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala at City as they pass the torch from KDB and Silva :(
it was after he was kicked, looked dazed love how the ref/commentators acted like their CB had the right to attempt a bicycle around a ton of defenders and any contact was just an accident. Great logic there

the top players are still playing too many minutes. I know not everyone can have a squad like City, but there has to be more rotation. White, Saliba, Gabriel, Rice, Odegaard & Saka all seem to be dragging themselves to the finish line to varying degrees at this point.
We've been a top 4 spender over the past 5 years. We've spent more money than city over the past 5 years. There's no excuse for our lack of squad rotation. I'm also not really interested in the depth excuses at this point. If there's a depth issue driving our rotational issues or lack thereof, it aint because of lack of resources.
we didn’t start where City was at when spending began. It’s absolutely a resource constraint. That said I am happy as hell where we are. Great players, org is functional and one of the best managers on the planet.
I think defense is pretty set in terms of numbers. a healthy Timber and you can't ask for more depth than that. only complaint is not having a clear first-choice LB (maybe it's Timber). and Tomi not staying healthy. the front 6 has basically been 8 guys carrying the load all season. getting next to nothing out of Partey, Vieira, ESR, Nketiah & Nelson is a problem. you need at least a couple of those guys to be able to contribute.
I think Gabby Jesus belongs on that list too. Absolutely need more out of him, or to find someone better.
it took city 10 years to get to the level they’re at (with unlimited financial resources). sure they won the league and domestic trophies before then, but it’s only really been since the 17-18 season (a year after they hired the greatest manager of all time/bald fraud while bringing in some of the best players each transfer window) that they reached a whole other level that only really liverpool (and us the last two years) could even kinda compete with imo.
