I think this is the easy way to go. Could see nightcrawler or one of the Morlocks saving Mags (pretty sure the wild sentinel said Omega level threat ‘neutralized’ and not ‘eliminated’). Could Rogue kiss Remy and transfer some of her life force into him? I’m also wondering who the “he” is that Cable warned is coming. Some NerdCast theories below: Spoiler Mr Sinister or Apoc seems to be the easy choices. I heard someone say Sinister was supposed to be the “big bad” of this season but can’t remember where I heard that. The other theory going around is that Cassandra Nova will be the big bad in Deadpool 3 and this show will introduce “her”. She’s the one that sent the wild sentinels to genosha to destroy it in Morrisons run. If that was the case you think Cable would have said “she’s coming” but I think Cassandra is gender neutral so i don’t know. Before the picture became clear I thought it was Nimrod attacking them.
One benefit of insomnia is being able to watch stuff like this at 3am and seeing the delayed release of everyone else experiencing my dread. Sadly I think next week is supposed to finish off the Storm arc (it's been a low point for me), so I'm not sure we'll get much of what happens next. After that, it's another stand alone episode title and then a 3-episode season/series finale.
Some context on the timeline of how long Storm has been gone would be great. Forge dropped the L word pretty fucking quickly.
I was for sure this week was Life Death Part 2. Seeing the reactions had me very confused. Instead they hit me with an X for Extinction out of nowhere. Life Death is one of the most cherished X-Men storylines but they didn’t really nail it imo. In their defense, it doesn’t really work in a 1/2 cartoon episode.
Yeah, that storyline doesn’t work in the timeframe of these episodes. It’s basically an X-Men romance novel that spans 4 or 5 books. Storm loses powers, sort of comes to terms, meets Forge, he thinks he can cure her, they work on that for a while, she moves in, they fall in love, he thinks he cures her but nope, then guilt catches up and he admits he designed the power zapping gun and she leaves to go back home. Not my cup of tea but highly regarded.
Binged the entire season tonight. Partner has never seen any x-men content so I had to drop knowledge on her along the way. I did not expect Magneto so be so goddamn fabulous. Loving the continued Morph/Logan bromance. The nostalgia of the Motendo episode was amazing. All of the mutant cameos in Genosha I need this Nightcrawler in my life, full-time
Life Death, and Forge’s entire story, is basically a huge story about failing to live up to potential. He has the ability to literally create anything…he could be a better Ironman. And instead ends up repeating the violence cycle through his inventions. It’s never lost on me how much of an echo he is of the version of Panther that Storm was once married to, as well.
We also got a Magik cameo during the fight at Sinister’s place. Morph turns into her to attack someone and goblin queen/jean laughs about it.
I honestly had no idea until 2 minutes ago. Sign and All That She Wants are the only songs I know of them.

Another popular theory I keep hearing/seeing Spoiler With Clips melting down and Genosha destroyed a lot of people are theorizing they end the season with Scott and Emma settling Krakoa. People think it’s actually EF that’s mind banging Scott disguising herself as Madelyn Prior.
Spoiler They're 100% setting up the bad guy Cyclops arc (which hell yeah evil Cyclops rules), and that theory seems pretty solid, but who sent the sentinels? Because EF would never. that would be pretty far out of character for her to genocide her own people
Another good episode. Charles Xavier fuuuuuuuucks! 1 more story building episode and then a 3-part season finale. This has been so good. I really hope they continue it.

Love they’ll show; they’re killing it. And I know they’re limited by time but this is the first episode where it either having been a long ass time since you watched the first series or having never seen it really throws off viewing.
