Matt Jones jerking off to this and pretending he’s the victim for not being able to sell he’s better than Amy Mcgrath?
Don't know what the results will be like on the court or on the recruiting trail but this guy is winning over the fans for now. Rupp was fucking packed for that press conference. Didn't really answer any of the press questions though. He had his talking points and was going to stick with them. He certainly isn't shying away even the slightest little bit from the expectations.
It’s the antithesis of Saban’s first presser at Alabama when he mentioned how “Alabama fans talk about being champions, but not about doing the things necessary to become a champion” or something to that effect. Parading around a 30-year old trophy at your introductory presser certainly is an approach.
Seems like Rupp being packed had less to do with supporting the hire, and more that you just have a bunch of fans who show up to UK Basketball events regardless of what the situation is.
Brought up in another thread about how Rupp is not an "intimidating" place to play -- What's the toughest road venue in the SEC? It's Auburn by a mile from Gamecock perspective currently
I dont think there's any SEC crowd that is consistently intimidating like in football. All depends if the teams are playing well. I think every school CAN have a tough atmosphere, except maybe Vandy or Georgia? But when the teams are not playing well - any arena can just be meh
We just moved our student section down to be along court level this past season and it made a world of difference. A number of media personalities noted how much better the atmosphere was, and we weren't even good this year.
Getting 3/5 starters and most of our bench back in the portal era is nice continuity going into next season
I think thats the key to successful teams going forward. Finding a way to hold on to and developing guys together. The constant half to full roster turnover is just playing roulette
Wow one of Calipari’s most trusted assistants in Orlando Antigua might not even want to follow him to Arkansas and instead opt to stay at Kentucky
Not what Shawn is hearing at his digital design class that meets every Wednesday at the local adult education center.
Wash St blocks bs shit whatever but Golden seems to be staying true to his system finding rim protectors which we need to offset on ball defending issues. When hires who must not be named across multiple sports end up sucking we are putting all our stock in Mr Todd Golden who looks at most 25.
FWIW - Mizzou was set to land Jevon Porter. In light of recent family news, he’s following Romar to Loyola Marymount. They want to keep him at a lower profile. Which means mizzou is still in the market for a big , like everyone else
It’s not like Auburns offense was struggling all year. Not to sound like a boomer but just going off that - those are the type of guys you wish would stick around. Talented but need time to develop. Just bolting after things don’t go exactly how you hoped probably isn’t serving him well.
His replacement was shooting 40%+ from 3 and also didn’t turn the ball over, which is about all you can say for Aden.
