wtf is Michigan doing to keep their guys? A bunch of coaches including their head coach have left and they're now on probation. Wtf is going on?
I did this exact same thing a few years ago. Bonus check cleared then resigned a day later for a new job.
I was about to say.... This is a common practice in the business world after those Q1 bonus checks hit
Oh I think we’ve all done this in the business world, just wild to see college athletes doing it now.
Was he any good? Wonder if we will pony up for that bag. We could still stand for some help at corner unless we expect Mbakwe or one of the other freshman to be ready day 1
coaches are most important. Wherever I go, I understand that I have to earn my playing time. I will look to set up my visits soon." The following schools, among many others, have contacted him since his release from Kentucky: Louisville Alabama Arkansas Kentucky Florida State Pittsburgh St. John’s Illinois Providence Seton Hall
Breaking news: guys that are already on your team have decided to stay on your team. This is revolutionary and shocking
Is the defense the biggest unknown? We are just used to having an elite defense. Or at least an elite defensive strategist for a head coach. We have no clue whether this dude from South Alabama is going to cut it in the big leagues or not. I like the hire and I think he'll be good. But I'll be nervous as shit until he proves it game after game.
that's why I changed it to elite strategist for HC. We had WSP . I just need Wommack to be better than WSP. That's not too much to ask.
Didn’t think we would have this many basketball players enter the portal. Is Oats telling some of these to enter or are we just cheap and everyone of them going for more NIL.
I mean, I sure as shit hope we aren’t blowing our NIL budget on Crosby, Walters, and Pringle. That would be mismanagement of the highest degree.
Not disagree but Griffen could have been nice to hang on to. We also still probably lose Sears and Nelson to the NBA and we have brought in only 2 transfers thus far. Those two and Wague leave which I don’t think we should be spending money on him to stay either and that’s 5 spots back open. 8 total spots with 6 spots opening because of transfers just seems like a lot from a final 4 team.
Tbh, if we were to keep Wague and land another big (Rutgers kid please god) wouldn’t be absolutely pissed. I thought there were certainly times last year that Wague showed potential. He’s very athletic. Showed some shot blocking ability. His injury didn’t help him at all as he wasn’t even practicing by mid way through the year. I definitely wouldn’t want him to be a starting piece but if he wants to be a 2nd/3rd center. I’d be cool with that.
We will see how the roster shakes out. Like I said before, Oats has earned my complete trust on this shit. He clearly knows how to find fits for his system so I’ll just sit back and let him go to work. At least he’s got a staff to do it with this time unlike last year.
We also have players being recruited by other teams. Not saying it happened with Pringle, but I’m confident it happened with Griffen. Might as well assume most players are free agents every year.
