I feel like Bam has checked out on playing with Herro because any time he passes him the ball on a dh he's not getting it back and hes basically a screen servant with Herro. There was one seq where Herro got a dh and instantly jacked up a terrible 3 when he could have turned the corner and put pressure on the defense, then next sequence Bam set a perfect dribble handoff screen for Herro but he came up "lame" from the defender falling and quit on the play and allowed Phoenix to get a easy fastbreak and you could just see the frustration on Bam face. It's even starting to seep into other parts of his game like his reb and facilitating.
Herro is going to be traded. Just a question of when. He was condescending as fuck in his postgame presser saying that he's 'sacrificing for the team' being a spot up shooter. Just way too much redundancy but it was clear once they traded for Terry that he wasn't a long term fit in the backcourt. Wish they'd look to deal Bam too but he's so important defensively that I doubt they'd do that.
I have no idea what our most effective starting lineup looks like recently. I like the idea of Jovic starting but there will be nights where he just doesn't contribute a whole lot. Maybe the threat of his shot is enough to warrant it but it's not like Love can't shoot. I think one of Rozier and Herro should be coming off the bench as 6th man because I think Duncan looks like a starter right now. He's played with a shit ton of confidence this season and does all of things we beg Herro to do - most of all get Bam involved. Jovic needs to be in the starting lineup. If he is contributing that night, he gets 15-20sh min. If he's not, he comes out with the first subs at the beginning of each half and that's the end of it.
last night game was a prime example of why Herro needs to be coming off the bench. He needs his own lineup like he had two years ago where he can just be a looter in a riot. Last nights game was prob his best game as a playmaker/distributor and it also exposed his glaring weakness. Bam was playing against PF all night and instead of Herro feeding him constantly off that PnR or when he would get a good seal he would just do it some of the time because he still wanted to look for his own shots as well. Same with how he handled Dunc. Dunc was like 6/6 at one point instead of Herro trying to keep feeding him off those screens he still chose to jack up 9 three's even though he couldn't buy a basket from there. He is not a PG he just doesn't have the mental ability to be one and the better SG on the team this season is Dunc. I can't remember the stat but the Heat record this year when Dunc starts or score 18+ are crazy. Spo is supposed to be a big analytics guy so I don't see how he can believe his best lineup is one without Dunc. You all know I hated Dunc the last 2 seasons but that guy put in the work this offseason to get better. I can't say the same about the other guy atleast not from what I see on the court.
I really wish some one would smack Bam in the fucking mouth and tell him to stop all the pump fake bs. He's to fucking athletic to have to stop every move and shot to pump fake 3 times every time and allow the defenders to regroup

Man if Jimmy doesn’t have a ridiculous playoffs this year I can see fans and maybe even some FO people turning on him. The constant lackluster approach to the regular season and being available to play is irritating. Your team is already down multiple people and is battling to try and get out of the playin but partying at the Miami open was more important then playing in the game tonight it seems.

I slander this FO at the first opportunity but Herro's stock has been steadily falling since the bubble due to lack of availability. From all accounts, he was gone this past summer in the hypothetical Dame deal.
With Terry finally starting to find his footing, doing anything but bringing Herro off the bench when he comes back should be malpractice.
