Beyonce releases one of the greatest albums in the last decade at the very least Beyhive when Taylor releases an album:
that's sweet of ya, dumples.....sadly Curtis Mayfield has been dead a long time so now I just listen to mufflax mixtapes on repeat
Album is fine. Slower paced and more songwriting than just poppy bangers, not sure how many of the songs on this album will be getting played a ton by me, but I enjoyed listening to them. Idk if that makes sense but that's my take.
Cassandra is also a Kanye/Kim K song too if you read to lyrics (with no one believing the phone call was edited but when it came out that it was people just mainly brushed it aside) In the mythology and religion of ancient Greece, Cassandra was a prophetess whose fate was to foretell future events correctly but never to be heeded or believed.
Peter is a Healy song with a callback to Cardigan and Healy is Peter Pan and she is Wendy but he never really wants to grow up so she is forced to let him go
You can say this album isn’t her best because it’s not. But neither of those things can be said unless you’re just trying to intentionally hate, don’t know music or are just flat out dumb.
Taylor farting on an album would beat that garbage for AOTY. B’s picking up the torch where Brittany left off…mediocre voice/talent, simple songs, sex appeal and great marketing.
It’s a good follow up to Folklore, Evermore, & Midnights. It’s not loaded with bangers. It’s a cleverly written, lyrically strong album. The folks that come in here and bash it simply don’t understand it…which is, well, understandable because it’s not for you. You have to know Taylor, her life, what has happened with certain events in her life to understand the album because this one is very personal…much more so than others. Sometimes an artist makes an album for themselves. Sometimes they have a creative itch to scratch; sometimes they need to get emotions out; sometimes they want try something new. This one is clearly something she needed to do for herself.
