Fontana desperately needed to go down to 400 miles because they were having difficulty keeping fans interested though the whole race. Personally, I think there are a lot of tracks that should only get 350 mile races, but there's a lot of ad money that goes into those long races that NASCAR doesn't seem like they want to give up, so it's tough to say. I think There should only be a handful of races that are 400 miles, and even fewer obviously that should be 500.

Last week, Martin dropped from 4th to 13th over the course of two commercial breaks, during an all green run. And, he finished 20th. It was like lap 80 when he dropped and they didn't mention him a single time for the rest of the race. Week before last, they only showed the front 3 cars and only talked about the front 3 cars for the last 20 laps of the race. Yeah, it was Bristol so 20 laps wasn't a whole lot of time, but it was still ridiculous.

I think Jr did very well considering he had probably a car that would've finished 6-8th had things been normal (i.e. no pit strategy). Harkvicks car was on a rope and Kyle Bush had the best car after 15 laps all day.
Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread** Our Video Game Sucks It's the evolution of Kyle. He'll be just fine. Big E didn't stop wrecking people as he matured, and neither will Busch. I actually like it, but I can't in good conscience recommend it because it's NASCAR 2010 - old points system, old driver/sponsor pairings, and old cars (last years cars instead of this years). The racing is quite fun, but the game as a whole is shallow. If you're the hardest of hardcore NASCAR fan like I am you'll enjoy it because it's a racing game, but I'd highly recommend renting it or getting a deal on it as opposed to paying the $60.

Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread** Our Video Game Sucks Had an awesome time at the race. Had pit passes and stood with whoever was in the march of dimes car's crew for the anthem. Got autographs from about a dozen drivers and shook Mark Wahlberg's hand. My boss rode in the second pace car and I was in the pit for the first 10 or so laps before they took us back up to the suite. Also met Larry Mcsomebody who is a broadcaster and a bastard for talking shit about Bama to me since I had on an LSU polo. Also Miss Sprint Cup Kim Coon (Bama grad)was talking the same smack. All in all a pretty nice Saturday except that the valets at the Omni Fort Worth lost my keys so now I have to stay at the hotel until a locksmith comes out to make new keys. My wife is at home and is not amused. Took a shit ton of photos will upload if I ever get home.
