This is when i came home for lunch and let mama dog out to use the bathroom and stretch her legs. I also checked to make sure they were all still kicking.
Awesome litter FightingCock In other dog thread news, I came home to a different surprise today. My lab had been on the hunt in the backyard, and proudly trotted over to show me when I arrived. Spoiler

Just had to put down my 12 year old black lab wednesday. Growing up I was an only child and when I moved he was all I had for a while really gonna miss him. :feelsreallyfuckingshittyman:
ha....love the correction at the end when it only goes down one step, gets it back and gives it a second go.
I know it fucking hurts right now, but I usually post this after someone loses a dog. My dog Sugar is 13 now, and I know it is only a matter of time. This is saved under I Love you Sugar. The message will make you sad, but it is a really good one to read right now.
My beagle girl pup Abby spent the night in the Vet's office last night because she has been throwing up for 24 hours and can't hold food down. All I know is she tested negative for parvo virus. Vet said she might not make it through the night. I'll know in a few mins if she is ok. Sucks!
Well little abby made it through the night. turns out she has a parasite called coccidia or something like that. This is what Wiki says about it... Spoiler Coccidia in dogs Young puppies are frequently infected with coccidia and often develop active Coccidiosis—even puppies obtained from diligent professional breeders. Infected puppies almost always have received the parasite from their mother's feces. Typically, healthy adult animals shedding the parasite'soocysts in their feces will be asymptomatic because of their developed immune systems. However, undeveloped immune systems make puppies more susceptible. Further, stressors such as new owners, travel, weather changes, and unsanitary conditions are believed to activate infections in susceptible animals. Symptoms in young dogs are universal: at some point around 2–3 months of age, an infected dog develops persistently loose stools. This diarrhea proceeds to stool containing liquid, thick mucus, and light colored fecal matter. As the infection progresses, spots of blood may become apparent in the stool, and sudden bowel movements may surprise both dog and owner alike. Other symptoms may include poor appetite, vomiting, dehydration, and sometimes death. Treatment is extremely effective and routine, but may be expensive for some dog owners. A veterinarian can easily diagnose the disease through low-powered microscopic examination of an affected dog's feces, which usually will be replete with oocysts. One of many easily administered and inexpensive drugs will be prescribed, and, in the course of just a few days, an infection will be eliminated or perhaps reduced to such a level that the dog's immune system can make its own progress against the infection. Even when an infection has progressed sufficiently that blood is present in feces, permanent damage to the gastrointestinal system is rare, and the dog will most likely make a complete recovery without long-lasting negative effects. Breeders should be notified if a newly-acquired pup is discovered to be infected with coccidia. Breeders can take steps to eradicate the organism from their kennels, including applying medications in bulk to an entire facility. I've been told by ex-girlfriends that i'm a cold and not very nurturing person. These two puppies have completely changed that though!
That's a beautiful litter of pups man. Takes me back to when my Choc. Lab was a pup. She just turned 11 last week. The time has flown by.
We lost one this morning, mama had pushed it up to the corner of her brood box and i was coming to the vet this morning for dew claw removal. I figured as much with 14 pups, its hard to feed that many.
I just want to swan dive right into the middle of that pile of puppies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIDPYKdtgsc
Damn man After thinking we were going to lose our 7 week old last night I have a new appreciation for losing a pet.
Vet also put down one more that mama pushed away, i tried to keep moving it to her teet but she would nuzzle it away. So the final tally is 12 really healthy pups and a healthy mama. Not bad for a litter that huge. 4 boys and 8 girls Sorry for photobombing the thread but a pic of the proud papa
Just spent the past 10-15 minutes having a minor panic attack. After the Rams game, I realized I havent seen my dog in a while. I called for him. Didnt come. Looked all his usual spots, under the bed, under the kitchen table ect. Still couldnt find him. Started to think he some how got out the back. Went out there, no sign. Now im really starting to panic. and then I find him: Spoiler Little fucker was passed the fuck out, which is why he didnt come when I called him, and the curtain was pulled so I ddint see him in there at first when I checked the bathroom
i know! i found this picture on my phone earlier of him as a puppy and it made me tear up a bit... prepare for unbearable cuteness Spoiler
Denny turned 3 today. Best guess as I got him from a rescue. Seems like yesterday (2 years ago) when he graduated from obedience school. Spoiler
