note to super noobs: do not do this, because our god is a vengeful god and will give you Meepo in your second game ever.
About to jump in head first after I shower. Preparing myself to get called vile things and get killed over and over and over.
For the uninformed. The pirate captain looking guy is Kunkka. He has an ability that allows him to attack for splash (aoe) damage every 4 seconds and gives extra damage on that attack. He also bought an item that gives +dmg and critical strike and built a divine rapier that grants a huge amount of +dmg. He critically attacks and cleaves/splashes entire entire enemy team and kills them all in one hit.
Yeah you gotta be friends w/ someone because they might have the block incoming msg's from randoms on
yeah i use to get so much spam i just blocked messages from non-friends. you should have it now lyrtch
played first game, got a couple kills, mostly just got owned by bots, my team won though and stats wise I was only third it appeared? played as lich some bitch with a spinning blade was destroying me controlling camera and everything else is going to take time, how do most people bind camera move? on the arrow keys, using mouse, plus all the hot-keys, there has to be a better way had no idea couriers were kind of tricky to use fuck this game is complex
if you want i can set up a bot game for you and take a broadcaster slot and just tell you what you're doing wrong and stuff.
A few people do bind camera move to keys but most just use the mouse via moving to the edges. You can also middle click to move or use the minimap. There is an option to permanently bind your hero to a key, I keep mine at 1 so when I need to get to my hero fast I double tap 1. I also permanently bind the courier to ~
Hero is F1, courier is set to my macro key on my keyboard. Macro selects courier, picks up items, brings items, and uses haste then reselects my hero. I use 1,2,3... for control groups if necessary.
I use 1 2 3 as my binds for item slots. i usually just click minimap and send courier to me. it only takes a few seconds.
If you guys ever get into this and need a mouse, I recommend this http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga-hex
still on the fence whether i'm sticking with this game, just a monumental learning curve is daunting especially with school starting back/free time decreasing soon
the game's much better once you pick up the basics. also its way better when you play with people you know instead of solo queue
it is, anyone can run around with forge spirits and cast cold snap on sight, but Invoker for bean's first game would be hilarious
might try a melee next although that sniper in our match earlier bugged me so bad that I almost want to try them, that guy was a pain in the ass and did absurd dmg
I would definitely recommend not trying Sniper yet. He is ultra frail, requires mountains of farm and has no escape mechanism.
True. I played a lot of voker my first dota binge. Mostly as a support (mostly quas wex). I never saw what the hoopla is about. Alacraty the carry>Tornado>EMP>Meteor>Ice Wall>Cold snap and maybe a tri blast in there somewhere wasn't that hard to pull off.
Speaking in defense of your teammates, stick with a noncarry until you get more familiar. That said, godspeed.
