Is it me or does it seem like all of these serial killers are from Washington, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or Utah?
He's a killer who greatly exaggerated his own exploits later in life. He had connection with Roy Demeo(the Mob's most prolific hitman in the 70s and 80s) but nothing like what the movie will portray.

There was a serial killer up here in Alaska that would kidnap hookers, beat them and rape them back at his place, then fly them out to a remote location in his bush plane and let them go. He'd wait an hour or so then he go hunt them down. Killed like 21 hookers before one got away (before he flew her out into the bush). My Dad was a Homicide Detective in Mobile and told me about a serial killer they caught in the 90s. The guy led them to a body in the woods that had been decomposing for quite a while. He then tells them that he would go visit the body when the moon was full, and would wallow in it and masterbate.
When I lived in Kentucky for a few years as a kid there was a guy riding around on trains in the area and raping and killing girls. Kinda freaky because there were railroad tracks probably 100 yards from my house and I could hear the train go by every night. They eventually found him, I think he ended up killing around 7 girls
who was the last famous serial killer? the DC snipers are the only ones i can count of and i imagine something like that is the closest thing we will ever have again to a famous serial killer.
if you are interested, check out ted bundy's last interview. it is the day before he was put to death. there are 3 parts (each video about 10-11 minutes). he basically says he was from a normal family and he blames hardcore and violent porn for doing what he did. it is also weird to see him act like a normal person. at one point, he was talking about himself and was like "sorry, don't mean to sound self-centered." he kept mentioning how he was the only one to blame, he was sorry for what he did, etc. didn't sound at all like it was a serial killer who was hours away rom death.

advances in dna technology, cell phone towers being able to pick up where people are, gps's in phones, security cameras everywhere, facebook, twitter, etc. people are much more connected now than they used to be, making it easier to notice when someone goes missing.
If you want to be a successful serial killer in this day and age, don't have a cell phone or a Facebook.
Yeah mostly this, what a guy did down in Anchorage last year was after he abducted a girl from a coffee shop and killed her, he continued to text people from her phone and even posted stuff from her facebook so no one really noticed she was missing for like 5 days. But he was ultimately caught because there was a security camera at the gas station next to the coffee shop that watched them walk out of the coffee hut together and got an ID on his vehicle
and target people who don't have cell phones. if the killer is at a bar picking his victims, its almost a guarantee the person either posted where they are, told someone via text or call where they are, or if not they probably sent a text, received a text, or made a phone call. then they can just find out which towers were used for the signal. with killers like dahmer and the greenway killer, they were going after people that no one cared about. the greenway was going after hookers who no one cared about or would notice went missing. even hookers have cell phones these days.

what are your guys thoughts on the guy that is claiming to have killed nicole brown-simpson and ron goldman? glen rodgers. cliffs: -man was arrested for being a serial killer like a week after the nicole brown-simpson murder, for 5 murders he committed -says cops were after oj from the start, and since he was in jail a week after they never looked into him being a suspect -provides receipts that prove he was living in the area of where the murder took place -he was working for oj (doing housework i believe), said OJ hired him to get a pair of $20k earrings back but was instructed to kill if he had to -still in jail, admits to it. said his proof is he took a rosary necklace from her, sent it to his mom, and his mom showed up to his court hearing wearing the necklace -said OJ showed up at the scene to see how things went the one reason i have always believed oj was involved but didn't actually do it was because of how violent the murders were. i saw an interview with a forensic psychologist i believe where he said to stab someone that many times you have to be a psychopath. i don't think OJ is. sorry for the late night rant and long cliffs.

What about Pee Wee Gaskins? He was from SC. He wrote an autobiography called "Final Truth" where he tells his whole life story. I mostly stay away from serial killer stuff because it freaks me out but I read that book and enjoyed it. For half the book you're like "well what did he do that was so bad?" then eventually you're like "ohhhhhhhhhh." He had a huge Napoleon complex from being short and nicknamed Pee Wee so half his deal was proving to cops he was smart enough to get away with it and stuff. He made his final kill while he was on Death Row Someone paid him to kill another inmate. He did it by rigging up a bomb and blowing the guy's head off. The people that paid him were the family of a victim the guy had killed

Disagree. Today's forensics and technology are only good in tracking people who kill out of impulse, or who make mistakes. Have always and will always believe that anyone with half a brain can get away with a random murder(s) whenever they want. Like the movie "Suspect Zero", I've always had the belief that there are some sick fuckers out there that have been murdering people across the country for years without a single glance from the authorities, because there's not a fucking thing tying them to the people they've killed.
this slayed me. the craziest/weirdest part about serial killers is how almost all of them get some sexual gratification out of their murders. one guy was reading about (forget who) like killed his mom and has sex with her esophagus and then threw it in the trash. fucking weird.
