I wouldn't call Chiefs a "random chain", it's been a Greenville staple for decades and to my knowledge it's only got it's one location near the Interstate around Haywood Mall.

 

The Black Keys are playing at Charter Amphitheater (spartanburg) on July 12 with the Flaming Lips opening.

Tickets go on Sale this Friday (Feb 15th). $40 for GA.

Trappe Door might be within your range if you don't get alcohol. They have great beer there but the prices can be pretty steep.

 

Adam's Bistro. Great food, and its BYOB.

 

Good choice, but I don't know how you go there and not get the beer, which will make the meal MUCH more than $20 per.

Yeah, I didn't know if he was 21 or not, but the mussels there are amazing and its a pretty cool atmosphere.

Mussels and frites are great, and a classic Belgian dish. But their carbonade flamande is also very good, and any of the savory crepes would be a great and inexpensive choice as well.

I don't know, I like TD just for uniqueness if not anything else. Can't really get that kind of cuisine anywhere else in G'ville.

 

Try Nose Dive. Similar to Trappe Door, but better IMO

 

Guess you'd have to love French food, but trust me, their braised short rib dish is one of the best I've ever had....and that's saying a lot.

I'm a big fan. But after all, it combines two of my greatest loves - Belgian beer and French food - into one basement.

 

I thought it was great. Really good beer and unique food.

 

I think that new Tupelo Honey restaurant is supposed to be pretty good.

Looks like it's going to open this summer. I will be very happy once they are done with construction on that new high rise.

 

Yea I used to live on Main Street across the the Hyatt, so I can relate.

Heard about the Owl and pass it all the time going to my gf's (she lives in Taylors), but I've yet to try it. Hope to go soon because I've heard it's really good.

Not yet. My boss is obsessed with both and has me wanting to try them. I know the owl is known for their liquor drinks and crazy experimental food.

I have a good friend who's a huge foodie, and he says American Grocery is far and away the best restaurant in Gvl. Bring your wallet.
