Dump, bubbie, I don't want to be a dick but for you to know what I'm referencing you'd have to go to bars
San Francisco really outdid itself in the faggotry department tonight. Rockets should have had that record.
Going to a work dinner at Vic and Anthony's (http://www.vicandanthonys.com/). Anyone ever been, recommendations, etc?
my favorite chain joint. i usually stick to the basics when i go, i.e., strip with sauteed spinach/au gratin potatoes/sauteed mushrooms, but their apps are pretty delicious. crab cake and tuna tartare both deserve a try.
Yeah, thought their apps look more interesting than the entrees. Any recommendations on good sides? Anyone know how they prepare the brussel sprouts? Also, anyone had the lamb or veal?
ive always been for business lunches so i have stuck to regular steaks. au gratin potatoes are good, so is the mac and cheese. otherwise the sides are pretty typical steak house family style veggies.
I feel like the city hasnt made a very big deal out of it. I lived in Dallas when it was there and thats all that was being talked about.
When you're a hub of international commerce, energy, arts, medicine, cuisine, and science, what's a silly little basketball game?

I think it was a bigger deal in 2006 since we hadn't had it for so long. I know there will be a lot and celebrities in the house. Shaq is supposed to me at the Marqe one night, MJ renting out the MFAH, All the house of hoop shoe stores are getting more jordan retros for Saturday, etc.

bbq (killens is the best, but its 40 minutes out ---- http://houbbq.com/ --- there's a list of bbq spots) fried chicken (barbecue inn, funky chicken, chicken ranch) or shit that your city is known for that I gotta get (mexican- el tiempo is a must, oysters- liberty kitchen, Vietnamese- too many to name, indian- also too many to name but you can find them both. Also, any sites and areas a must see? As far as things to do, the visitors site is actually a good resource. http://www.visithoustontexas.com/things-to-do/insiders-guide/ http://365thingsinhouston.com/
It's basically pork carnita fajitas. Just huge chunks of really good pork. I like the chicken fajitas with bacon and poblano peppers as well. Forgot what they're called though. Also, as mentioned above, Liberty Kitchen is awesome. Probably our favorite restaurant here. Let me know if you go there cause I can just walk over there. If you like crawfish there are lots of good spots around for that as well. Houston loves it some crawfish.
Also, I don't know if anyone has been to Ragun Cajun lately but they have some huge fucking oysters for a really good price now.
Past 2 times we've went we got some huge ass ones. Same on the crawfish too. I don't like their seasonings as well as other places, but they had some big ones.
