that's some great hustle. soul ring/tranq boots = spamming spirit lance until someone has to leave lane.
Well I got a clarity for lane and q'd a lot so I could last hit, didn't miss a last hit early so my bottle was really fast, so by that point every time she showed her face she got q'd to the point there was no way she could contest a rune. She probably was awful, but I outplayed the fuck out of her.
a win's a win, and it sounds like you ran train on that game, which is good shit. But PL should never have complete rune control against a QoP, she prob has the best rune control in the game.
I can confirm that user OTM plays a pretty decent Venomancer. And that this friend of mine is a really good OD.
Yeah, got caught alone by Gyro and he was about to missile cannon me. OD force staffs and prisons me right before the missile hits then wrecks gyro. It was really impressive.
not according to dotabuff. According to dotabuff you have 75% win rate with him. Pretty sparkling kda of 4.3 though
I'm willing to bet you have played more recently than 22 days ago. Go into options on your DotA client and click allow third party monitoring, or something like that. Looks like you play a good Viper. I don't see anything to get distraught about, anyway. You're pretty new. I don't think you are doing yourself any favors by playing Lina/Zeus/CM/Drow so much. They are all such frail heroes that are really dependent on map awareness and positioning.
In addition to what 2Poor said, Jeffrey Lebowski I would commend learning a certain role instead of a certain hero(s). Whether it be a solo mid type hero, support, ganker, or carry. I think learning a role will A) help you focus on one area of play and B) help you focus your hero selections. Lina - can be played mid/ganker or support (though she needs some farm IMO) and really benefits from another disable in lane to land her stun. Zeus - classic mid/ganker. He really benefits from the early levels and farm solo mid provides because he is strongest when people have lower health pools. CM - support archetype, she moves slow, has a bad attack animation and has shit for health. however she is fantastic support because she doesn't really need items to be effective and her skills are great to help set up kills. definitely takes practice, map awareness and positioning skills due to her being so frail and having no natural escape mechanisms. Drow - my main bitch. Pretty good carry, though not a straight up "hard" carry. Peaks right around 16 when her ult/aura gives her ridiculous +dmg. Again, no natural escape mechanism and kinda bad stat growth makes her suseptable (how the fuck do you spell that word) to ganks and being focused down in team fights. If any of these hero styles seem to call to you more than the others, you may want to consider other heroes that fill the same role on the team.
I would like to concentrate on a certain role, but I'm clueless as to who is what (I guess that's why I think league is easier right now, bc I pretty much know every character and what they do)
If you see a hero that looks interesting or one you want to learn, go to YouTube and type in purge plays "hero name". He gives you a good understanding of what the hero does and how it should be played as well as general game knowledge. My only gripe is that he rarely plays heroes as a pure support if they are the least bit viable in any other role.
I made a smurf account to learn Meepo with and holy shit he owns. So much fun to play. At one moment you are farming a whole jungle and a lane at the same time, the next you are blink daggering and smaken a dude with 5 shovels. I'm in the low level bracket with is account so that's probably why I find him easy. Still trying to get the finger combos down before playing in my real bracket.
In league I mainly play jungle (I'd say 75% of my games are jungle). I also enjoy support (when I have a competent carry). I never did like solo top, but I do like nuker mids. In order of favorite to least favorite Jungle Support / AD carry (tie) Mid Solo Top
Jungle Enchantress, Chen, Enigma, Axe, Dark Seer, Lycan, Naix, Doom, Lone Druid, Ursa I think that is it. Unless you're good at micro, I'd cross off Chen and Enchantress. Doom and Naix usually fare better in a lane at the start so cross them off. I would probably go with Axe (favorite of mine, his voice lines are superb), Ursa or Dark Seer (who is better solo'ing long lane but w/e). Axe and Ursa fill similar roles which is "run in there a beat on shit" but go about it differently.
That surprised the shit out of me when I watched it. As good as Na'Vi is when they give a shit, they get really sloppy and careless sometimes. This isn't the first time I've seen them get dumpstered by a vastly inferior team.
should add Lycan to the micro intensive list. Ever since he got murdered with nerfs, you have to be really careful with those wolves until level 5.
That is true but once you get the ring of basilius or the vlad's it really just becomes a rape train. Only have to micro those first few levels whereas the others you gotta micro the whole game (Chen) or worry about getting blown up due to your poor stats (enchant).
well yeah, but if you are a level 4 lycan when everyone else is 7 or above because you have to keep going back to fountain, you aren't doing anyone much good.
