it looks like shit, but the writing was on the wall when the real legit guys like Hardy left the production due to the script and Gyllenhall declined to replace him. Will Smith isn't a star anymore and doesn't pick the best projects. so, you're left hoping the WB/DC braintrust get it right and they haven't shown the ability to do that.
With them basically refusing to merge their TV and movie characters and the huge potential for Batman vs Superman to bomb is Justice League possibly out of the question?
No. BvS won't bomb. It will do good money. Whether or not it collapses on the third weekend will depend on how good it is. It's good that it's coming out in March, with 2 full months before Civil War. It should make enough simply due to limited competition. Either way, Justice League is happening. DC has started and stopped too many times. They are all in now, for good or bad. WB just needs to give the DCCU reigns over to one mastermind to spearhead it. It needs a unified voice.
Why the hell should they merge the TV and movie universe? Marvel doesn't even know what it is doing there. They don't know if Coulson is dead or not in the movies. Feige doesn't even know if Daredevil will appear in the Avengers. I mean I don't get the point? They don't acknowledge them in the movies. Also Tom Hardy is no Leo. He is a great actor but not like only picks great scripts, he was in movie 44 recently.
no one picks perfectly and actors do movies with bad scripts all the time, but when high profile guys drop out of big productions due to bad scripts they're worried enough that it's so shitty it could poison their profile. I would imagine he's turning down a sizeable paycheck here and they don't often do that.
Yeah, I can get behind that Harley Quinn. Never thought I'd see a freaking live action Killer Croc either.
Robbie was a home run casting as soon as they announced it. This pic certainly doesn't dissuade. That's certainly a... different take on Enchantress than I was expecting.
I don't think he's part of this team. Slipknot, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Katana, Rick Flagg, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Croc, El Diablo
Scene from a movie from a coli poster that lives where they are shooting the movie. movie spoiler Spoiler Saw Margot Robbie in full Harley gear bopping down the street with a bat over her shoulder. A gang of guys carrying choppas. Will and Jay Hernandez were down there too - only saw them in a picture. There was a guy down there with a paparazzi level camera talking about selling the flicks to UK tabloids
bigpig Does Batman V. Superman Trailer Have A Robin Easter Egg? Fans are used to seeing Robin Easter eggs everywhere; there was so much time and effort spent looking for them in The Dark Knight Rises that it's kind of invigorating to get through the first Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer without one... ...except, did we? During the shot of Bruce Wayne that we see in the trailer, it appears that there's a display case with a cape, and gloves in it behind him... ...which kind of jives with the visual of Jason Todd's costume, which sat on display in the Batcave for years after his death. That would seem like a real reach, in most cases, but the fact that there have been persistent rumors from various sources saying that Jason Todd will have been Robin, and will be dead, by the time the movie starts lends some credibility to the theory. Also, Batman V. Superman cinematographer Larry Fong indicated earlier today after someone pointed out the Ridder Easter Egg that he didn't think anyone had found the best Easter Egg yet. Could this be it?
How/why the fuck did someone catch that? I can't tell shit from the screenshot, much less from watching the trailer.
Reason why Hardy dropped out http://collider.com/suicide-squad-tom-hardy-reveals-why-he-dropped-out-of-dc-film/ The beard thing is legit. Chris Evans had the same issue with the Avengers and snowpiercer . They had some to re-shoot this seen
notes: 1) I love that the Shawarma throw away gag scene was so important that they brought everyone back to reshoot it. 2) What does "alley" mean to Tom Hardy? 3) Sounds like he didn't drop out for creative reasons and thus I retain some hope that the film will be good.
Are there any plans to bring the Riddler into the fold? Who would or wouldn't you like to see get the role?
Well with the question mark Easter egg in the trailer I believe the Riddler is in this universe already.
I think he's just going to be locked up in Arkham almost all of the movie, probably like a Hannibal Lecter role. Then I'm sure Harley will be a part of breaking him out. Joker being a member of some team just doesn't sound right either.
SPOILER VILLAIN EASTER EGG IN BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN TRAILER Batman Vs. Superman trailer has hit the net early prior to its intended Monday debut. Earlier today saw about thirty seconds leak online from an international version of the trailer, and now moments ago the full trailer became available. The trailer features a look at Henry Cavill as Superman as well as Ben Affleck as Batman. Superman is made out to look like a bad guy - a "false god" - while Batman is shown to challenge him. Various scenes were shown with one in particular standing out as it featured a prominent Batman villain Easter Egg or clue for things to come. On the below image, the Riddler question mark can be seen clear as day, which perhaps hints the Riddler might appear in Batman Vs. Superman or possibly some time down the line. Joker is already being introduced in Suicide Squad, which follows Batman Vs. Superman, so Zack Snyder may be going with a second villain in the movie with Riddler (in addition to Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor). There haven't been too many Riddler rumors for the movie that I can recall other than recently Jim Parsons stating he would like the role, and a while back saw Justin Timberlake mention the character. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
I imagine it's just one of those comic nerd easter eggs like the lexcorp truck in man of steel that is just there as a wink.
