You might be surprised at how redneck those rural westerners are...those dudes really hate the federal government
Oh my god Unknown Mortal Orchestra with Lower Dens @ Exit/In February 13th. Tickets on sale Friday at 10 AM
Having lived there for awhile, this is definitely true. We might have them outnumbered down here, but their extremists take crazy to a pretty high level.
ATL should really love the amount of military up there too. Reserves, active duty, the academy, all over CO.
I won't be able to physically jizz on them but I will still be celebrating them from afar VU baseball's signing class yet again tabbed #1 by Baseball America. They are going to DC this weekend but once they return be sure to come out to the remaining fall practices. Alonzo Jones at shortstop
Lol the LA Times did some research into Sarkisian's road expenses and found a receipt from Rippy's dated January 8, 2013. In town for the American Football Coaches Association convention, he and three assistants ordered four shots of Patron, four other liquor shots and five beers before cashing out at 11:53 AM NYTimes with a bit on Nashville http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/10/1...s-skyline-being-rebuilt-by-building-boom.html
That's like people bitching about the one that had 83 beers on it, but had like 20 people on it. 4 beers a person isn't much. Now if it comes out that out of those 20 people, only 5 were drinking.. then you might have an issue.
Didnt catch the 11:53 AM on the first go round. Just saw 11:53 and assumed it was PM. That's very different.
made me chuckle enjoy yourself, I'll be in Denver for a summer internship with the EPA this upcoming Summer
It's TSU homecoming this weekend and it might result in more gunshot wounds than normal because it's the 100th anniversary of their first diplomas being awarded. There was a shooting near their campus early Wednesday morning Stay safe
I'll never forget when I first moved here I was living near Germantown and I went to get CFA. GPS got me off 40 by TSU's campus on Homecoming night. Traffic was dead stopped and a ton of people walking in the street. Great scene
A very niave K-Doe woke up hungover on the saturday of TSU's homecoming last year with a craving for Popeyes. Made it to Rosa Parks/Jefferson and it was basically this video irl.
Anyone played Hillwood CC? Looks like you can play as a non member after sept. Assume rate would be something stupid
I think its one of the better clubs in town. In terms of courses I would rather play, I'd have to go Golf Club, Richland, Hillwood, in that order. Belle Meade has the history and name, but they fucked up the course when they re-did it in the early 2000's and it isnt as well maintained as the other three I mentioned. Hillwood may be the most playable of those 4 for higher handicap golfers, too. I'm a big fan. Having said that, I'm sure the greens fees on that are going to be absurd. Edit: I'll add that Golf Club is far and away my favorite course in the state
They had to close the course for a while a few years back because their greens got all fucked up but it is back to being a great course. It's where all the Belle Meade Jews go. Hillwood/West Meade If you go out there you might as well take a ride down Jocelyn Hollow which is right around the corner from its entrance off Davidson. It's so gorgeous this time of year
places I absolutely need to hit up in the next week or so Gabby's Monell's Gold Rush Tenno Baja Burrito US Border Cantina I've done Sportsmans, Pizza Perfect and Sperry's with my folks in the past few days. The room with the bar at Sperry's always has so many divorced alcoholics in it. I also still need to hit up 312 Pizza Company and go check out Little Harpeth Brewing
if you feel like getting wild tomorrow night, there's probably not a better place for you than the Ex-Cult show at The End. Jawws opening should make that quite rowdy
Apparently a new place called The Hideout is opening somewhere in town Hurray for the Riff Raff and Nikki Lane will be playing there opening night 10/22 That is Protomartyr night though
Went to "The Stateroom" last night with my crew, Daddy Rabbit included. It's a new cigar bar / lounge that is pretty awesome. More importantly though was the amount of god tier level women in there. There were a ton fake titties, BIGASSTITTIES, ass, etc. Soooo good. We will be adding this bar into the rotation. I suggest you guys check it out.
Im no hot chicken expert, but I eat a lot of hot foods. My wife brought some Deezys home, but I wasn't that impressed. Maybe because she fucked up and got me wings only. I do want to try it again though.
The state room is a cool spot buddy lives across the street been there a few times. If you ever meet a bartender there named chasity... Avoid she'll probably let you in but the crazy that follows is not worth it. Watched her destroy an entire room and a good bit of football memorabilia on a casual Tuesday night no real reason that we were aware of other than wasted. Had Gabbys for lunch.. Or a third of a Gabbys burger good stuff
Thanks for all the suggestions. So one other wrinkle about this weekend: we're all from KC and would really like to find a good place to watch Game 6 and Game 7 of the ALCS on Friday and Saturday night, if the series makes it that far. Any thoughts or recs on a good place that we can all settle in without having to plan in advance. We're all staying downtown (six of us have a condo on 3rd St), so anything in close proximity would be preferential.
Double Dogs is the go-to sports bar, but would take "planning," especially on Saturday Tavern might be a good spot for you guys to settle in at. Great drinks/food, good amount of TVs.
Double Dogs is basically Buffalo Wild Wings...definitely not a go to sports bar...it's a pretty terrible sports bar really
look at how full it is every night and tell me it isn't the "go-to" sports bar in town now that Sam's burned down
Yea but it sucks...that would be like saying Applebee's is the go to restaurant because it gets the most traffic
