Salvy's having the best year of his career offensively and still a top 2-3 defensive catcher. He's ahead of Willson at this point IMO.
Having a good 300 abs doesn't erase the previous 4 years of below average offensive production imo. He doesn't even rate that amazingly defensively anymore.
I mean he's been a top 3-5 catcher in the game the last 5 years. Could say the same thing about Contreras and his 300 ABs this year.
I never said Contreras was top 2. That's the difference. So you think a guy who has had below average offensive production at his Position has been top 3-5 at said position in that same timeframe?
Below average offensive production for a catcher? That's debatable. Yeah in my mind he's pretty obviously been one of the best catchers in the game for a little while now. And now tonight he got hurt. Are you happy with yourself trof?
I just love it when hawk get all excited then the cubs throw up 3 the next inning and he loses all enthusiasm.
No... unless Hendricks shits the bed over the next couple of starts you have no need for another starter in the rotation. Would love to add Britton but that's a dream
The triple was a wall banger to the opposite field too. Hopefully he's about to go on a tear. Be nice to get they average over .200. Kinda tired of seeing .183.
He's been hitting well since he's returned. Wouldn't be worried about the average since he dug such a huge hole for himself. Crushed the HR opp field. That's a great sign.
Hits to opposite field were real nice to see tonight from schwarbs. Javy has been doing that lately as well
I don't worry about batting average much in general I just don't like seeing a batting average under the Mendoza Line when it's not a pitcher. Same thing with Montero last year. Hitting .280 since coming back from Iowa.
Baez' defense hasn't been near the level it was last year. Fucking up a lot of routine plays. What a frustrating inning. Not a single hard hit ball yet they're threatening to put up a crooked number.
This game has been infuriating. We keep hitting the ball hard but right to them. Nice play by Russell there though.
I hate watching a game feed without a "K Zone" I feel like ESPN has the best. Either way the Brewers feed on MLBtv doesn't have one
Feel like I just got kicked in the nuts. He wasn't sick was he? Thought he was a fairly young guy in good health but I guess I don't really know.
Of course with the bases loaded the liner finds a glove. We really need a big hit with RISP to get the team going.
