Dudes story is weird. Out of American baseball for like 4 years. Goes to Europe and plays in Italy. Cubs see him with his Italian team in Mesa and sign him
I'm starting to think the entire league is juicing right now with these HR numbers.
I think the base balls are being messed with.
But wouldn’t be surprised if you were correct.
He hit another HR today. He’s going to push for a roster spot next year
I haven’t seen it talked about but Lester has been fucking terrible after hurting himself after his hot start to the season.
He was amazing first time though the Dodger lineup. Second time he's been crushed. Dodgers are the best club in the NL. He will be ok
I’m not just talking about tonight. He’s been really bad since his injury. I want to say it was his hammy about a month back.
The balls are 100% juiced. The MLB can't even continue to take the position that they aren't. I just don't think some of these guys have made such drastic career changes by adjusting their swing and launch angle.
The craziest one, to me, is people who think LaStella isn't juicing. He made an "adjustment" to his swing and has hit 15 HRs this season (10 in the previous 5 seasons). Who is believing that story?
Just look at most of the dodgers hitters as well... guys who never did shit now are all world players. I'm sure it's running wild in baseball. No chance the league cracks down. Can't afford another scandal
MLB made some "adjustments" to the ball this year, and they went too far. Home run numbers are a joke this year.
Strike 3 to Almora was a fucking joke. Thing was in the left handers hitting box
Hendricks is not on.
CB Bucknor behind the dish. Par for the course.
Just popping in to say thank you for Eloy
He’s fun a lot of fun.
You’re welcome. Q has been great for us as well. A deal that’s worked out for all.
Kyle going to the 10 day IL... Shoulder issue.
Well, data shows it was at the all star break in 2015 when they juiced the ball. Every year since the HR record has been broken. This year the increase is so insane that, in my opinion, it's not just the ball.
I say bring up the kid... give him a few starts. He's earned it.
With Hendricks hitting the DL, this may happen.
Chatwood or Monty also a option. But I rather see this kid get some time with the big club.
Same. I feel like it's time anyway.
Agree. He's going to be used in september and possibly for a playoff run.
Yea I wish we still had him. He's crushing it lately
Weird... pitching prospects take time to develop. Good to see Hatch is turning the corner.
Missed call on a strike 3 , then a terrible throw by kb.
Absolute garbage baserunning by Almora there.
Yep, no secondary lead at all
Shit road trip.
That series was tough. Could have easily won or lost all four.
Adding Kimbrel will help but just like the last two years the Dodgers are clearly a better team than us once again.
Although that doesn’t mean we can’t get hot and potentially beat them in a best of 7 series. Hopefully Bellinger will have cooled down a bit by October. Guy is on a fucking tear to start the year.
If he was on any other team, I would love watching him play. But god damn, I hate the fucking dodgers.
I don’t think they are clearly the better team. That series in LA was very close. The Cubs also had a close series in Chicago that the cubs won.
I fully expect these two teams in the NLCS
Leave to the Cubs to make the pitcher with one of the highest era’s in baseball look like a CY young winner
Ugh seriously. A complaint about our offense?
What shall I complain about tonight? This guy has a 6.2 something era and the only good we get off him is a leadoff HR. Bitch about hammels? He hasn’t given up a run tonight. I got it, Leave it upto the Cubs to make the beer to spoil on a warm night. STFU
Yup. The fucking Dodgers, with limitless payroll, spending like a team that prints money should. While we, a team that prints money, tries to skimp when we have generational talent.
Ugh seriously, another complaint about our front office spending.
It's Ivan Nova, dude. We need more than 1 off him.
Dodgers spend because they already have the TV deal. It’s easy to for them to go all out.
I would hope this is the final offseason we pretend to be poor
Yea.... I just was saying we should score more than 1 on Nova
Well, that stings.
ha... yea that figures
I would really like him on the roster
Cubs have a higher payroll than the dodgers
The issue isn't that we don't spend money. The issue Is that the people we spend money on fucking suck.
Marrow tossed from 135ft. I have no clue if we see him back but that's the first positive progress report i've seen on him in months
