Again, I follow the royal family zero. I just watched the interview. They both said they were asked multiple times how dark the baby's skin would be. I feel confident those questions weren't asked bc of Harry's hair color. And it seemed like Harry went out of his way to not blame his grandmother and put most things on his dad, but damn, grandma is the fucking queen. Everything ends at her. If an employee is asking those questions, why are they an employee? Like Meghan said, they squash the smallest of shit but just let her be eaten by the wolves on the media. Why is that? Why did they let know bullshit just ride and not come out and clear it up?
And idk, if I'm worth billions and my grandson wants to leave the company business to get away from the media hounding his wife bc of her skin tone, I feel like I'd still support them financially and still offer their family security from death threats. Not to be all Comic Book Guy, but technically that’s slightly off. Markle said that the family made comments to her about being concerned regarding Archie’s skin color while she was still pregnant. She initially implied that the comment was made to her directly, and after Oprah expressed her outrage over it she waffled a bit. Then she clarified that nobody actually said it to her directly, but rather “someone” in the family said it to Harry, who then recounted the discussion to her. He verified the story when he joined the interview later. They both declined to identify the perp saying it would be too harmful to out him or her.
Kate made Meghan cry before the wedding over some flower girl outfits. 6 months later the media came out with a story that Meghan made Kate cry. Nobody from the family ever set the story straight. They just let Meghan get dragged over a bullshit story. You can make all the excuses you want but Harrh and Meghan were treated completely differently. I mean Harry, the prince, was having a son and he wasn't going to be a prince. Other than bc he had a black mom, why would that be?

I'm commenting on the interview. If someone wants to say they are full of shit, cool. But accepting what they said as true and still defending the royal family is gross.
That’s the nuance that keeps getting lost here. Nobody is defending the royal family. Describing something for what it is does not constitute a defense. To me, it’s like a couple you know getting divorced. Maybe one of them was checked out, or one of them cheated or whatever the case may be. But it’s a rare situation that the breakdown of a marriage is all based on one single issue.
Andrew wasn't cut off. He resigned from public duties, but he still lives in the Royal Lodge in Windsor. And they were all Nazi sympathizers until they started getting bombed. They were German. If you're talking about Edward VIII, specifically, he was never cut off, either. He was the Duke of Windsor and then the Governor or the Bahamas (both royal appointments). What they've done to Harry is truly unprecedented.
Last night you claimed Meghan is full of shit and a terrible person. Multiple people asked you to go further and you ignored so I'll ask again. What makes you think her and Harry are lying about why they left? Why is she a terrible person?
To me, this is the more legitimate point of criticism. I don’t know enough of the details there. My understanding from what Harry and Meghan said in the interview was that they resigned their “official” positions as representatives of the crown. I know Windsor abdicated, but I don’t know whether that entailed a total resignation.
