Brown got 3 snaps in the first half. Solid “QB competition” you have going there Ryan.

That was one of the most frustrating halves of Buckeye football I’ve seen. The play calling is atrocious.

 

The one where he got targeted? The other seemed like a good play by the DB

 

When we lost to Va Tech in 2014, I remember thinking our young OL was trash. Months later we were pushing around Bama. It's a lot of missed assignments on the OL so far, esp picking up the second level rush. That is easier to clean up than dudes getting beat 1:1.

 

should just play Montgomery if this is what we are getting from Fryar and Simmons

 

The short yardage play calling has been incredibly frustrating, multiple runs of 1-2 or negative yardage and an abysmal 1/6 on third down conversions

 

I’m honestly not sure LeRoux could’ve done a worse job than Simmons on like half the plays

 

I'm not worried. We're saving all of our good plays for Youngstown State.

 

agree for the most part, but Simmons has been getting beat like a drum by nobodies

Trying to maintain some perspective here - any surprise or disappointment in Simmons is actually on us - not sure we should’ve had even moderate expectations for a guy who has never played LT until a month ago and was decent but not amazing for a bad team in a minor conference.

 

Quick check in... Defense looks solid. The offense is fucking embarrassing given the amount of talent at their disposal. No excuses about first half of first game. The offense looks absolutely atrocious. Ok, carry on..
