Everette-Brown won the 100 at 10:41. He was second in the 200 at 20:90. He anchored the 4x100 first place at 40:82. He anchored the 4x200 first place at 1:24:21. Three firsts and a second, sophomore. https://oh.milesplit.com/meets/679881-ohsaa-division-1-state-championships-2025/results
2021 was the worst. 2013 was better than 2018, by a significant margin. In 2013, the front seven were fairly solid—Bosa, Shazier, Curtis Grant, Josh Perry, Michael Bennett. 2013 just got torched in the secondary as teams realized we had Roby and no one else. 2018 was terrible at LB and DB, and had terrible coaching. The DL marginally held it together. In 2018, we got torched passing by Purdue. We let Anthony McFarland of Maryland run for 298 yards. We gave up 39 to Michigan, but Haskins couldn’t be stopped after Purdue (where he went 49/73 470 but only 2 TDs 1 int).
Curtis Grant was pretty shitty before 2014 then had a solid year splitting snaps with Kwon. The Centerville contingent is not impressed with the lack of a countdown player today, we will remember
You liked my post from this morning, but the good news is that we’re a lot closer to the season than you thought.
Fuck me Sleeping 2 hours max in a hotel room with my dad then doing 8 hours of timing then a 3 hour drive home may have fucked me up a lot Point and game, herbert
Also, tell the people of Centerville, I used Nugent’s 55 yard game winning kick against Marshall at day 85. Tell my story.
Terry Glenn in 1995 caught 64/1411 and 17 TDs. The 17 TDs is still the Ohio State single season record. First team All American in 1995, Terry Glenn and Marvin Harrison Jr (2023) are the only Biletnikoff winners.
The game against the Gophers at the Metrodome was awesome that year. He caught a bomb but hurt his shoulder and went out. Eddie tore them up. Terry Glenn was so damn good.
I have said this before, but our 1995 Iowa game is as good a half of football against a ranked opponent as I have seen. We led 56-0 in the second quarter. Our starters took off their shoulder pads on the sideline in the second half as we cleared the bench. We went up 42-0 on a Bob Hoying 15 yard TD scramble where Terry Glenn absolutely de-cleated a guy chasing Hoying who didn’t see Glenn coming in like a missile. That offense was so talented—Eddie George, Glenn, Dudley at TE, Orlando Pace.
herb.burdette how many fistfights did you get in at the high school grad party’s asking about obscure OSU players?
I mowed the yard, spread the rest of our mulch, trimmed a bunch of trees, and power washed our deck while she had brunch with our girls. She loves me again.
Keep your spirits up, he’s almost old enough that you are about to run a streak of 4-6 years of laser tag arena birthday parties.
I watched it. That season was when I really became a fan as a kid. I loved Keith Byars. The week before, we lost 28-23 to Purdue when Mike Tomczak threw the ball away on 4th down at the Purdue 30 with 10 seconds left because the sideline marker still said 3rd down. We were number 2 in the country. Purdue always upsets us.
That 1984 team was Bruce’s best shot at a national title after his initial 1979 team. Tomczak was experienced, and an actual NFL caliber QB. Byars finished 2nd for Heisman. That team had freshman Spielman and freshman Cris Carter. They lost three games by a total of 10 points, had a chance to win each one.
That’s how it is but would be pretty annoyed if we had a kid who couldn’t last a week before flirting with other schools.
