Mahaffey’s main issue besides being a PF who can’t shoot is he starts and plays with Felix, he does have useful skills for any team

 

I'm fine with Diebler. He's already proved he's a better coach than Holtmann. Like Goose said, just be a yearly tournament team that doesn't lose in the first weekend every single time and every now and then have a special run.

 

It gets ugly for anyone who doesn’t win.

All I’m saying is that casual fans who remember Diebler’s brother from our last glory years will buy in quickly if he wins.

my feelings (which are very important obvs) on this hinge on why the hire was made. if there's a shared sentiment that diebler is a rising star, i'm totally on board with rolling the dice. ideally, he would go off and get some experience running a smaller program first, but there's no guarantee you'll get another realistic shot at hiring him if he has success

if we're just overreacting to him winning a few games after holtmann got canned, or worse, penny pinching, then fuck that
