1. We stayed with my wife’s youngest sister years ago when we went in for a visit. She’s always cold and cranks the furnace, plus it was early fall so it wasn’t even needed. We were in the back bedroom that gets the most airflow from the vents, and I thought I was going to suffocate. Us three (we only had our oldest at the time) literally had to open a window and sleep with our heads pushed up against the screen. 2. Lived in Florida and saw them daily 3. I really like Pittsburgh. I’ve only been to Miami once, but I hated it. 4. No 5. I can’t remember the whole game, but I remember bits and pieces of the Michigan game in 1989 and the RB’s from both teams playing well.
No idea about Ohio but this is worst week of weather I can remember in DC. 90 before noon, all humidity. Fuck doing anything outside.
It's been close to the worst I can remember here. It's already in the low 90s and it's fucking 11:30 am...gonna booze at the pool all afternoon. Last night the wife and I went out to dinner (Vittoria in Powell, if anyone is looking for excellent Italian food and service in that area) and they didn't even have their patio open even though they were full on a Friday evening. Ain't nobody want to eat or bring food out there.
This heat is awful. Crew are selling one of their best players so he can go play in England and this is his final game but we sold our tickets because that’s gonna be miserable tonight
You should dine in at some point...service is top notch. Old lady owner walks around to every table during dinner to thank you for coming in to eat /ask if you're there for a special occasion/how is everything. Not many old family restaurants like that anymore.
You ever go to Carfagna’s? Also a big fan of that. Last couple times we’ve gone, we’ve sat at the bar and it was much quicker than trying to sit in the restaurant
Haven’t been to the restaurant yet but love the store. We went to j Gilbert’s last for their “finest hour”. Got absolutely hammered at the bar and ate oysters.
Yes, altho I wouldn't find them to be very comparable products. I mainly like to shop in the Carfagnas meat market. Morettis on Sawmill is also very good Italian, but not as "fancy" for lack of better words as Vittoria. Both places are Italian restaurants where one meal is gonna feed you a couple times.
Yeah their meat market is great. I was just thinking of family owned Italian places. Never been to Moretti’s but each time you mention it, I check it out and think that I need to go and then forget about it.
Morettis has an extremely loyal clientele. It feels like when we're there there's always tables where they are talking to their waiter like it's their weekly meal there. They also seem to have very good daily specials, which is nice if you go on a day it's something you like. Their portions are enormous. A few people have told me they have the best egg plant parm ever...I'm not a big eggplant guy and I'm fucking sure you aren't...but, I've noted that several different people have told me that.
La Tavola is excellent...haven't been in a long time due to location. This place is also fantastic but fucking out there.... https://www.lolaandgiuseppes.com/ Owned by an old Italian couple and they seemingly still do all the cooking.
I went there once like six years ago and had just a meh meal and I didn't really care for the inside either. The couple we went with loved the place tho. I would have gone back already if we lived closer, just not at the top of the list after the first experience.
This is as bad as I can remember for Cincinnati in the 20+ years we’ve been here. Everything is turning brown. I haven’t mowed my backyard in three weeks.
Do you track the river level for your terminal, and if so, I’m curious how this dry spell compares. My office looks out at it, and it seems really low.

All you air conditioning living bitches can suck my balls. I’ve never been happier in my life than yesterday at 4:31PM driving away from Cub Scout camp. I can’t believe I lived through last week without killing myself, my kid, or 40 other kids.
Buddy of mine is smoking ribs tonight and he’s good at it. Looking forward to it. I didn’t think it was that bad outside today relatively speaking
Finished our golf round. Just wrapped up a workout and now I’m heading to the pool. Safe to assume weve gotten all the croots?
I'm just happy to be in this stadium and not experiencing the pain of defeat. But it’s still hot as hell.
This is dumb on so many levels. Walton spent 13 seasons in the NFL before coming to Ohio State. Linguist spent one.
East side of the stadium is going to keep you in the sun for a while. I have numerous late September or early October sunburns in 12-14 C Deck.
Track it for terminals....look at Ohio, Kanawha and Cumberland daily. The gauge at Cincinnati is currently fine. I've been involved with the river for a decade now and honestly have never seen it fall out as fast as it did two weeks ago. There are some rumors that he Corps of Engineers let out a bunch of water from the Ohio River to keep the Mississippi going, but I'm not sure the truth there...it would make some sense. We need some rain tho...I cut barge drafts last week to what I would maybe do during bad September times. Need rain.
Been thinking about this post for awhile so I pulled the trigger and bought well over 100 dollars worth of food from Vincenzos today.
You know what, I think it was Vincenzo’s I was thinking of earlier that Buckwild had mentioned previously not Moretti’s
I’m playing some over complicated time travel game with Herb Jr., and he’s annoyed that I’m holding him up, so he’s playing my character now.
