One of my coworkers struck him out in high school. He said the first time he pitched to him he knew nothing about him, he was just the next kid up. He said Swisher proceeds to put his first pitch on to another planet. He said when he got back to the dugout the coach just laughed and said yeah I knew about him but I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to get all worked up about it. Lol.
I actually had a couple beers with Swisher at The Varsity Club the night before the Penn St game in 2002, as the buddy i was staying with in Columbus that weekend was the/an SID for the baseball team and also did some work for the football team; he had been an SID at Rice when i was in school and for the golf, football, and baseball teams specifically (that a lot of my friends played on), which is how i got to know him. I have a picture of all of us somewhere at home, need to find it (along with some pictures from the shoe, WHAC, and with Clarett's helmet, ha). Swisher was a super nice guy and had just been drafted that summer so nobody really recognized him there and i honestly didn't know a ton about it him outside of being a first round pick and OSU legacy.
Our 2022 returning production also takes a hit with the losses of Olave and Wilson, but we’re still this high.
I agree with Noon here. You can’t just let them put your name on a terrible sandwich. You have to properly vet these things.
Cleveland natives- I’ll be in Cleveland for a wedding on Friday night and then staying Saturday night to enjoy the beautiful city. Any recommendations on places to go/breweries/restaurants I need to check out on Saturday downtown? I’ve been once before for a night but was for work and didn’t have much of a chance to explore.
One of the craziest things in the fucking world to me is that the crazy OSU blogger / Uber driver / conspiracy theorist ....somehow landed a legit job working for the government of Florida to push information on social media. It's fucking insanity.
It’s a checkmate in the Ohio vs Florida debate. It’s like dblplay1212 being Lieutenant Governor of Ohio.
I found out today that the deli in the basement of my building is closing. Work from home is killing downtown lunch options.
I'd seriously consider living in almost any United States location if it meant I would not be taxed a penny.
Aren’t you an owner of your business? I haven’t paid state taxes on my pass through income from my firm in four or five years due to other credits for ownership, employees working, etc.
Visited for the Spring Game. Coming back to camp June 6th as well as coming to the ND game. High on the want list. https://247sports.com/player/kj-bolden-46102992/
For all I know, my accountant is going to jail and I owe $200,000+ back taxes. I just pay what he tells me to pay.
Yeah, pretty strong possibility that’s a night game too. Not many great matchups that week. https://www.espn.com/college-football/schedule/_/week/4
