They had an autographed 4 x 6 ft framed photo in the lobby. When they tore the place down, they did it in two steps. First, they tore down the hotel and built the one that is there now. Second, about 6-7 years later they shut the restaurants down and bulldozed them. A guy I used to work with was still a manager. He took all of the autographed memorabilia to hotel room on property. Someone took the Eddie George on behalf of the Steinbrenners and left almost all of the Yankees stuff behind. The Yankees stuff ended up being his severance package.
Given that the dead period ends soon, I’m really hoping the remaining staff decisions get made quickly. Ideally within the week.
Really love how the new schedule sets up -5 home games to open up -a bye between MSU and Iowa -Northwestern, Indiana and Maryland between PSU and Michigan
I kind of liked Wisconsin two weeks before UM, to get a taste of some bullying rushing but not a big deal.
Seems like a reasonable schedule; still tougher than Alabama and Michigan's ridiculous schedules next year, but ok overall.
Is ND running Jack Coan out there next year? I can't envision a game where Jack Coan outscores our offense.
No Coan is gone- it will be true Soph Tyler Buchner who ND took over JJ McCarthy- a run first kid from SD who was injured most of his high school career. ND isn’t winning if it was Caleb Williams so doesn’t matter. Buchner should at-least be entertaining for the home crowd- he’s extremely fast. ND is reportedly pursuing Dart as a transfer and did look into Slovis so yea the staff isnt in love with him. So chance it might be someone else
The bye week is placed nicely to help anyone with a nagging injury after Wisconsin and MSU. Don’t particularly like going on the road 3 in 4 games from 10/29 - 11/19.
Anyone in the alumni association have experience buying single game tickets through the association? I joined finally and haven't bought them before
Watch the dates for sale. Typically, in July they allow a sale after season tickets and student/faculty have been allotted. It’s online and you get a code. I have hit some pretty good seats and games since 2013, but prior to that it was complete crap. I was able to get Penn State in 2013 and 2017, Va Tech in 2014. For other years, I had to do nonconference MAC or other beat downs due to my schedule. South Stands for Va Tech, but generally C Deck around the goal/ five for others. In 2021, they started adding flex packages of 3 to 5 games, but I skipped the Covid soup in 2020 and 2021 without going.
I used herb.burdette ’s password a few years back and got tickets to the 2016 Michigan game for face value and then sold them a week before the game to be able to afford to live because apparently it’s expensive to break up with someone you lived with a month after re-signing a lease
Booked for the Wisconsin game with my wife and Iowa game with my dad. I can’t sit out another season without attending a game.
Honestly, I used it a fuckload when I first got it. Once I have a place big enough (again) to store it I’ll probably use it more
Bringing in Walton and Eliano together at DB seems like a home run on paper. Eliano is from Texas Walton from Georgia Some great states to have roots in.
Eliano has multiple years experience coaching ST’s as well. I wonder if that plays into their decision on Fleming?
Ward is adamant that OSU doesn't want multiple d-line coaches, but I don't see any reason they wouldn't hire a younger guy to work with LJ. Assuming Fleming is gone, of course
