You have to love this one from Griffin Storm: “Day says there's not any one thing that he's particularly concerned about regarding the Ohio State offense. ‘I don't think there's one thing we have a concern about.’” https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio...ill-doesnt-have-update-on-usc-transfer-kicker
I loved the comment about Knowles being the HC of the defense. That was a huge reason the defense sucked balls the last few years. There was no head coach of it. It was a few guys all just handling their portion of it. There needs to be one almighty leader.
I really hope LJ starts playing guys on the DL who produce and not just give Cage, Vincent, Friday and Jean Baptiste reps because they’re seniors. There was no reason to have Jerron Cage at 28 snaps against Michigan and Tyleik Williams at 2 when we were getting blown off the line of scrimmage play after play. Jean Baptiste (25) played almost as many snaps as Sawyer and JTT combined at DE (26). Vincent has flashed at DT, but he’s way too inconsistent. Cage, Friday, and JB need to yield time to the younger guys. This DL could be the best in the country if the young guys push Zach Harrison and Vincent and the young guys play. I feel pretty good about this secondary. It’s not 2016 or 2019, but it’s going to be good.
Eichenberg shined for much of the morning as the projected first-team Mike linebacker routinely found himself deep in the Buckeye backfield to blow plays up at several stages of practice. During the sequence in which Ohio State specifically focused on running the ball prior to 7-on-7 work, Eichenberg was especially juiced up after stopping Miyan Williams behind the line of scrimmage for a tackle for loss.
Fat slow sloppy white linebacker excels when no lineman are on the field to pancake him. Film at 11:00.
I'm interested to see what drill you think focuses on running the ball/stopping the run that doesn't include lineman
Probably my DeWalt 24 volt cordless. Either that or my impact drill, but that’s more for like concrete anchors and what not.
Eichenberg is more a symptom than the problem. Washington was rightly fired because our best two LBs on the team are a converted RB and Eichenberg. This staff inherited it.
Has BTN announced when they'll do their tv show of our practice? Hearing the BTN guys gush over our players evert year always gets me fired up for the season.
Also, have basically got nothing done since I found out someone tried to shoot up the FBI field office on the exit I take to and from work everyday. Apparently, the guy is now hiding in a cornfield off of I-71 north of Cincinnati. It seems really tough to catch a guy with an AR15 hiding in a cornfield.
I have so many things to watch between this and hardknocks. Hopefully I'll get to them before Christmas.
It would be great if we could get Terry’s cell # and/or email address, would greatly enjoy signing him up for all kinds of wild stuff.
Seriously though, Terry is going to have to prove the restriction is reasonably and that he paid Birm extra for it. You can’t just make every employee sign a noncompete. You have to prove you paid the employee extra for it because he’s a key guy.
