I was about to post this earlier, but then remembered that jbook may be on the accounts not to share list, as well as the tweets using the word "yoked" list ;) Irregardless, there are some more good pics from OSU here good sirs
Tegra Tshabola looks a lot leaner and bigger. I’m becoming irrationally optimistic about the OL. When my middle daughter was 7, we got her a kitten that is now a mean old cat. Like our dogs are legitimately afraid of the cat. She suffers no fools and swats at will. At 7, my daughter named the cat Tigre Muffin. Can’t get that out of my mind every time I type Tegra Tshabola.
Birm is a really good interviewer Between the shirtless pic and that interview, fuck a Jordan Marshall
Friday Survey: 1. Have you been watching the tournament? 2. Will an extinct animal be successfully cloned in your lifetime? 3. Who is Ohio State’s sack leader next season? 4. Which type of breakfast do you prefer: savory or sweet? 5. How often per week do you fuel up your vehicle?
1.) Duh. I was in a bar in Nashville last night when the Vols season melted away. That was some fun fan watching. 2.) Absolutely 3.) Curry 4.) Savory 5.) 0.33 times
1) On and off. Spent last weekend watching WBC and the tourney but didn’t watch last night. 2) We’re gonna have Jurassic Park 3) Tuimoloau 4) Savory 5) 0. I honestly can’t remember the last time we put gas in my car. Put gas in my wife’s car a week or 2 ago. Was probably a month or more between fill ups
Friday Survey: 1. Have you been watching the tournament? Yes, but not too much. Caught Friday and Saturday games. 2. Will an extinct animal be successfully cloned in your lifetime? Yes 3. Who is Ohio State’s sack leader next season? JTT, and it’s part of our defense that has to get better. I get that three step drops and the run first nature of Big Ten play keeps sack numbers down, but 5.5 sacks by Garrett in 2021 is our highest total by a player since Chase Young had 16.5 in 2019. 5.5 is unacceptable. 4. Which type of breakfast do you prefer: savory or sweet? Rarely eat breakfast, but give me the bacon and eggs. 5. How often per week do you fuel up your vehicle? I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and drive 50 miles a day round trip. I fill up about every 7-9 days.
1 - on and off. Been real busy with work, getting pigs, son b-ball and daughter softball but we did go to Columbus for session 1 least week (should have went to session 2). 2 - yes 3 - JTT 4 - savory. Specifically sunny side up eggs on top of shredded hash browns and spicy sausage with toast. 5 - .41
1) Not much at all, just doesn’t interest me all that much. 2) Yes, seems we have the tech so why not just do it! 3) JTT… he finally puts it all together and has a dominant year 4) Savory, not a big sweet guy but enjoy it occasionally. Give me a good egg sandwich, eggs Benedict or biscuits and gravy. 5) one overt 2-3 weeks probably… work from home and only driving I do on a regular basis is taking/picking up the kid from daycare.
1. Here and there. I watched way more of the NCAA Wrestling championships last week than March Madness. 2. Sure. 3. Mike Hall 4. Savory 5. Once
Yeah both working from home full time. No kids. Have cars that are pretty fuel efficient Wife drives 20ish minutes to her parents in Delaware every weekend to feed their fish while they’re at her sister’s, we go to a friend’s house most Friday nights, and will do stuff on the weekends but don’t leave much during the week. It’s been great. I wasn’t working from home before Covid but carpooled so was filling up every 2 weeks or so
Next year’s NFL draft could be insane for OSU Harrison Jr Egbuka Fleming Stover Henderson Jackson JTT Sawyer Hall Hamilton Williams Eichenberg Steele Burke Ransom We have 15 players who likely will be drafted if they go, not to mention guys like McCord or Miyan Williams who aren’t on that list.
Not many teams can be, but assuming the OL and QB positions play well, the hits at WR, TE and RB can be filled pretty simply. We’re still relatively good at LB and DB with that list assuming Hicks, Powers, Styles, Stokes, etc all play well. DL is a wasteland in 2024.
DL might be the easiest position to reload with a great recruiting class. What would you all think is the easiest to reload?
After 2023, our DL looks like this (presumablly) DE- Kenyatta Jackson, Mitchell Melton DT- Mike Hall, Hero Kanu, Kayden McDonald DT- Ty Hamilton, Tyliek Williams, Jason Moore DE- Caden Curry, Omari Abor We're going to need to see some good progress from those DEs to feel good about that group in 24. I like that interior DL square a lot. We just need to load up on DEs in either the portal or recruiting, or both.
I think that Sawyer comes back, I just don't see him having enough of a monster year to leave early. If any DE is going to blow up and leave early its going to be JTT.
Almost all of them do, but they leave every year. Dawand Jones and Olave are the exception. Wypler and Hickman are the norm.
Where are any of them going? None of the three have proven to be consistently good enough to play at OSU, let alone get drafted.
1. Yes but not closely. Pumped for the hockey game today tho. 2. Most definitely 3. JTT 4. Savory 5. Every 2-3 weeks
I’m not betting Gunners scotch or anything, but the way I see it: Williams has never struck me as particularly happy and has struck as someone who thinks he’ll blow scouts away with his quickness measureables. Hall is showing up on 2024 lists already. It’s Walter Football, but they have him first round in 2024. Hamilton has been here enough years and sees his brother in the NFL.
Thought it was interesting hearing Birm, Bill and Austin talk about him and questioning if he has the belief in himself to start. Sure sounded like they think Zen is the #1 at RT. Based on what they’ve been saying it sounds like right now the starting OL would be: LT: Fryar LG: Jackson C: Hinzman RG: Jones RT: Michalski
1. Haven't watched a single game yet unfortunately, should at least watch the title game, especially since the Final 4 is here again this year. But i have gone to 3 movies this week and may see another today ;) (go see John Wick 4 btw, it's strong to quite strong!) 2. Yes 3. JTT 4. WhyNotBoth.gif 5. Maybe once every 2 weeks sir, really just depends on what kids and I have going on (so less than once per week fam)
I thought it was interesting that the five OL put up to give interviews yesterday were Hinzman, Tshabola, Michalski, Fryar and Jackson. Jackson, Jones and Fryar are going to start. You never hear anything about Vimahi, James, Leroux, Toutant or Christman—all of whom have been in the program at least three years.
Vimahi and James get mentioned. Vimahi played last year and James was contending for the starting Center position before being held out this spring. Leroux and Toutant have always been dead weight. Probably most disappointed in Christman, as he was pretty highly ranked.
