Can we please get hooker out of the game and all future games
Hooker can't do anything right
lol Hooker you absolute piece of trash
Calm down fella
Basically the 2013 game. Gross. Burn the footage and move on to whatever trash can we have on tap next week
If I would have told you this morning that we were going to run for 307, pass for 300, and hold Indiana to -1 rushing, how much money would you have put on Ohio State?
The game Storm was benched permanently, 2012? Has to happen to Hooker.
Lots of things to work on, complacency shouldn't be an issue going forward. Coombs and defensive staff (Washington excluded) have some soul-searching to do for sure.
Can't imagine the committee will view us in a favorable light tomorrow
As bad as Hooker has been, I think ppl are way wrong if they think become him will fix the defense. Going to take a lot of adjustments.
also, our offense was pretty non existent on the second half.
Just needed a fg lol time to add more money
Of all the things to worry about, this ain’t it. You just want to avoid Bama in round 1. Being 2nd vs 3rd is irrelevant
Yeah 2012, my bad
We lost 3 DBs in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft and felt it in early 2017. We had Denzel Ward but got killed early in the year.
This year is like that, with Wade as a lesser version of Ward.
Proctor needs to play over Hooker.
I really don't know how they can justify playing hooker going forward. He's been a problem all year, but he was a catastrophe today. Williamson wasn't much better. We're really feeling the nfl losses and the cam brown injury
Should be the last time we're remotely challenged until....Michigan? Question mark?
The good news is no one is playing defense in CFB this year. But I don't know how you fix this secondary
Wisconsin may have just saved their season
Even this secondary might be too much for Joe bausermilton
Game pretty much decides the West
Williamson sucks but he’s not doing a Pitt Brown and fucking up the whole defense like Hooker.
Proctor needs to be deep safety and try out some guys for nickel packages
I've made my decision fwiw
Unfortunately this was almost a lose-lose game in terms of national perception. You blow them out and it doesn’t matter because it’s just Indiana. You win close and it’s “what the hell is your problem”? You’d think we lost the way the Fox postgame crew was framing it.
We’ve got a lot of stuff to fix, no doubt, but that was still a win against a top 10 team with Fields playing the worst game of his career.
They need to play a bunch of the young guys the next two weeks at Ilinois and at Michigan St and then just rotate the best guys vs Michigan. But can't keep throwing Hooker out there all/most of the time.
Also, speaking of Illinois:
This fucking team stinks.
Former buckeye (the latter, at least)
Worst pass rush and defensive backfield I can remember.
Lots to digest after that one but a win is a win in 2020. It’s a fucked up year with prep and games being called off. Zero excuses but had a few things been different with the officials that score line very well may look different.
Do the 1s play the 1s much in practice? And if so is it just a track meet with Olave and Wilson against this secondary.
I don’t understand how we still have no fire routes for when a defense blitzes 2+ players.
Also, Shaun Wade has played himself to the 3rd round this year.
Eh, he hasn't be great obviously, but I feel like he's been in solid position a lot times where guys have just made incredible plays on the ball.
Still disappointed in his play this year
Too many guys making plays on him, too often.
I don't disagree
It seems like Chrisman has been extremely mediocre since losing his virginity?
Haven’t we all?
I guess the silver lining is that Indiana is far and away the best passing opponent in the Big Ten, so we hopefully won't see a shit show like that until the playoffs. The counterpoint to that is that the secondary won't get tested a whole lot again until the playoffs and Mac Jones or Trevor Lawrence will likely throw for 8,000 yards.
Right. I’m not so concerned with anyone else in the B1G. This defense is not close to being ready for a Bama or Clemson offense.
Well that was extremely unimpressive.
Marcus Hooker needs to ducking go
Also remember that time Teradja Mitchell was isolated one-on-one basically playing cornerback against one of Indiana's fastest players? #schematics
Marcus Hooker fucking stinks. Too many missed assignments in the secondary, which should be pretty fixable. I thought the pass rush was okay, Penix was just really good at getting it out and accurately.
Justin was not good today for really the first time in his career and our backs stink in pass pro. Sermon is Charmin Soft.
He ran cover 2 while the rest of the defense was in man. Not ideal.
That DPI on Wisconsin, this is historic levels of bad officiating this weekend
Fields tried to do too much today. He needs to throw the ball away instead of forcing something or taking a bad sack.
