That Harbaugh story from the end was kinda weird (but not a surprise either)
Good stuff here from 11W
Spoiler: And a cool tribute to his dad, too
was his dad any good? Saw he got drafted by the Jets.
Per the official OSU release the other day, his dad currently ranks 8th at OSU with 345 career tackles so had to be pretty good at least and/or play a lot.
He was a three year starter 1978, 1979, and 1980. We played strange variations of a 3-4 and 2-5 defense under Bruce and Hayes.
He played in the middle with Tom Cousineau in 78, then middle with Marcus Marek in 79, before moving outside in 80 when Marek and Glen Cobb were in the middle.
Cousineau was the NFL No. 1 overall pick and Marek was an All American, so Washington was over shadowed by them.
Solid three year starter.
The 79 team was AP No. 1 when it lost 17-16 to USC in the Rose Bowl. The 1980 team was Preseason AP No. 1 before struggling with Syracuse and Arizona State in nonconference and then getting shut out by UCLA. In hindsight, Schlichter was probably shaving points.
today James L said Freeman was offered the LB coach job, but turned it down cause it's a step back. you'd think we'd offer LB plus co-DC...
You want three coordinators on that side?
i'm assuming we wouldnt have went after Washington.
He's not a coordinator either
whoops, you're right. ill see myself out.
Tate transferring already?!?
Tate with 1 of the softest moves in history, please keep talking you little bitch.
Kinda surprised he isn’t going to at least wait to see if Fields is even eligible
Two shitty programs at the forefront
no one named fucking "tathan" was ever going to lead us anywhere but the outback bowl
Luka you were right. He’s a little bitch. Come talk shit about Tathan with us
i want to know why terry mitchell wasn't given more serious consideration for the head coaching position following meyer's departure
THE BRIAN HARTLINE FACTOR: I have known him since he was 15-years old, and he was among the first group of kids I wrote recruiting articles on, so that needs stated. But in being perfectly objective, he is killing it on the recruiting trail and I don't see how people could argue that. I thought he also did a great job with the wide receiver position this year, and he has an amazing future at Ohio State. One of the things that made Urban Meyer so great was his willingness to see his assistants further their careers, even if that meant leaving Ohio State for other schools. When Meyer sat down with Hartline to discuss his future goals, he was probably surprised with Brian's thoughts. Although there are similarities to Mike Vrabel in terms of work ethic and desire to be a great coach, there is one huge difference. And that is that Hartline's goal is to go as far as he can in the coaching profession, but ONLY at Ohio State. He told Meyer he would not be interested in a coordinator's position somewhere else, or even a MAC head coaching job. He and his family love Columbus and they love Ohio State, and he has stressed that any climbing he's going to do in this business will only occur at Ohio State. If that means he's the wide receiver coach at Ohio State for the foreseeable future, then so be it.
Terry Mitchell is my favorite parent of all time. If Fajita never ends up playing I’m going to be devastated
He was on special teams, he's gonna play
We need a quick decision from the NCAA before Jalen Hurts chooses his destination.
He sucks balls but beggers can’t be choosers at this point
I think he can be a decent QB in our system.
If Fajita is faster than Tuf Borland, and I would sure hope he is, he needs to be starting at MIKE next year. He clearly comes from elite stock.
I know there was some talk of Vrabel being interested a few weeks ago, but it would appear Mickey is safe
Al Washington has to be laughing at our two cac turd linebackers playing in place of specimens such as browning keandre Jones Hilliard pope and Mitchell my god
I’m actually looking forward to seeing Harrison play next year.
Yep. As awesome as an immediate star like Bosa is, so is watching older players figure it out. Like our WRs this year. Evan Spencer types. Need those to win a title
Baron Browning being coached by someone who actually knows how to coach college athletes and will play him at his natural position is one of the things I'm most looking forward to next season.
Tate better not transfer before spring is over; if he does, it's such a bitch move. talk all that shit about winning the job, then once he's on campus you run off like a bitch?
Anyone hear an echo at all?!?
If he’s going to transfer, makes sense to do it before Spring practiced at his new school.
The NCAA also has a waiver rule that is specific to allow immediate eligibility if you transfer due to a coaching change.
Chip Kelly should call him at UCLA.
Big fan of having a dedicated ST coach
More on Barnes (and confirmation re Taver):
Does this mean our DBs will no longer stare lovingly into a receiver’s eyes as they complete catch after catch instead of turning their head and looking for the ball?
Dawand Jones official visit this weekend, Wiltfong has CB’ed him. Just a massive human.
I’m watching Justin Fields’ commitment during an episode of QB1 right now.
It feels awkward
