Suck a dick HotMic
Nah not really but I’m guessing it comes down to Ohio State and UM.
U CAN SAY ALL U WANT BUT LIFE AFTER URBAN IS A LET-DOWN .
GET READY MR AND MRS POPULAR .
The NCAA has not updated their NET rankings to include yesterday, so we’re at 38 there. ESPN has us at 33 on their BPI. Most sites using RPI have us in the 40’s.
We’re 16-7 with 8 games left. I think we have to win all three of Illinois, Northwestern and at Northwestern. Probably also have to go at least 2-3 against at MSU, at Maryland, Iowa, at Purdue, and Wisconsin.
4-4 + a big ten tourney win.
5-3 and they are a lock
definitely cant lose those 3, also need at least one win against MD, Iowa, Purdue, Wisky; could see us winning at least 2 of those.
It's pretty shocking that he has turned into a serviceable player. He looked like a MAC talent at best last year. Credit to the staff and him.
ICYMI yesterday, a nice article re: some of the less heralded signees in this year's class by 11W contributor Andrew Ellis:
Also, a somewhat obvious but necessary article re: Stud and OL recruiting from Lettermen Row
And another solid film study from 11W's Kyle Jones this morning:
Former buckeye (and a pretty random article about him via Forbes):
I’ve made fun of Ari for his criticism of Meyer’s in state recruiting, like everyone else, but Day is looking pretty good with 247’s top five 2020 Ohio recruits right now.
If he sweeps that top 5, that element in our fan base is going to fall all over itself in love for Ryan Day.
Same for 21
It’s been a pretty good two months so far for Day.
how soon before this graphic is used for a UM recruiting flyer?
also, hasn't PFF admitted their stats come from YPA and stuff like that? don't they eliminate YAC?
Some pretty great responses that tweet in case anyone has yet to click on it
Not sure how this affects their pursuit of the transfer from Rutgers, but good for this kid regardless:
I would assume 11W is correct, but none of those tweets say it's for his Senior season. We seem to routinely give walk-ons scholarships for just winter or summer when things open up like guys going pro.
If OSU goes 4-4 the rest of the way, they are in even if they lose a conference tournament game, which the selection committee has shown not to care much about anyway. I have no doubt whatsoever that 10-10 would get us in after going 10-1 in the non-conference. A .500 record would still result in a résumé that every metric will find attractive. We'd probably have at least 6 quadrant 1 wins without any quadrant 3 or 4 losses. Heck, we'd probably get an 8/9 first round game. Snubbing OSU would be rather historic.
2017-18 Florida State is our benchmark. They played in the strongest conference (9 bids). After going 11-1 against an unimpressive non-conference schedule, they were 20-10 (9-9 in the ACC) heading into their conference tournament -- just like OSU would be with a 10-10 conference record. FSU had 6 quadrant 1 wins -- about what OSU would have after 10-10. And FSU lost in the first round of their conference tournament to bubble team Syracuse. With 6 at-large teams ranked lower per the s-curve, the Seminoles received a 9-seed. Many regarded FSU as a bubble team, but the committee decided that they deserved to be in by a comfortable margin.
Another factor is the Pac 12 stinking to high heaven yet again this year. They got 3 in last year and probably won't get more than 2 in this year. Even the Big East is down. Last year, they got 6 teams in. This year, they're not getting any more than 4. That's great for teams in the low-middle of the nation's deepest conference. The B1G's non-conference performance makes our .500 teams a lock for the tournament. Even a 9-11 record will suffice if there are enough Q1 wins.
Yeah, i remember when some guys have lost their scholarship in the past it was just for the summer (think it happened to Mewhort, Stoneburner, and JT Barrett), so you very well could be correct sir
I enjoyed this research.
Means they know a few players are gone
Was looking at the girls hs bball top 100 for 2019 and there are 7 from Ohio and we only got 2 of them. The #2 overall player is from Columbus and is going to Tennessee. We did get 4 of the top 41 players though
More meticulous than a forensic officer.
Stay hungry. Stay humble. Every day is a gift.
Guys, what’s the optimal way to party at the Memorial? Went last year with my Godfather. Had a blast but want to hit it with some friends this year. One of my best friends twin lives up in Columbus now so might be going there more often
Feel like buckwild , DJ Bosa , mal630 , or phunkybuck will know
Is it possible to somehow buy a ticket for one day?
The Bogey Inn offers one day packages....included 30 second bus ride to the course, ticket, booze and food at the Bogey Inn. It's where Barton got tased last year . Doesn't look like they have it up on the site yet, but they will. http://www.bogeyinn.com
I remember when Ahmad was a big loss for Thad....
This is some good advice, the bogey is wild. Don’t walk around a ton. Sit at a hole for awhile, get drunk and gamble with your friends.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to attend The Memorial for a while. Busy time of year for me and when I spend the money to fly up I enjoy football games more. From my experience at golf tournaments I would avoid parking as much as possible. Uber close or this bus situation at Bogey sounds good.
If you have more than 1 day and have never seen the course I definitely recommend walking it, but this could be done early before the leaders are out there. I would pick 2-3 holes to sit at and watch 10 groups come through. Trying to walk and follow someone is a nightmare especially if they are contending on the weekend.
I've played the course quite a few times, some greens to sit near that come to mind would be 9, 12 and 14. The good news is Jack built this place to be an excellent tournament hosting site, so the access around the course and viewing areas are 2nd only to Augusta.
You can usually get a single day ticket from the Memorial website. Friday is the best day to go, less crowded and everyone is partying.
Spoiler: Let's do it
I would love to play Duke in the tournament. Close to a zero percent chance of winning but I would love to see what Holtmann comes up with in a game like that.
Dontre Wilson is a Hamilton Tiger-Cat
This news makes me irrationally happy for some reason, perhaps because it could increase his instagram and twitter activity if he does well.
Dixon and Campbell on the far right. My Goodness at the monster on the far left.
Haven't been there in a long time but do people still rent out their houses to corporations or people for the weekend?
Distinguished kock Metcalf.
One of these fellas is quite high on our first 2020 board that’s coming today at 2:15.
