How many of you guys live in Columbus or nearby?
I had no clue that BSB was separate from Rivals. That definitely is O-ZONE level.
BSB was linked with Scout, don’t think they were ever associated with rivals but I also haven’t subscribed to anything in years
Maybe if he loved newspapers as much as he does the intricacies of writing itself, he would have grown up to be a newspaper.
Clemson losing today helps a little bit although I firmly believe it’s win and in tomorrow for Ohio State
I think BSB was with Rivals when Bucknuts was with Scout but that would have been like 15 years ago.
Sometime within the last 15 years I have gotten BSB for free because I was a Scout member
Yeah, at some point after Bucknuts left Scout BSB took over.
When I first subscribed to the sites (~2006) it was Buckeye Grove (Rivals), Bucknuts (independent/ESPN) and then Scout which had no real name or anything because Bucknuts had just left and BSB hadn't taken over yet. Scout's OSU site at that time was just Bill and nevada with some help from regional Scout guys.
my Operating Room is looking at acquiring some software that would integrate with our current systems. Only two facilities so far that use it sync up to us. Northwestern Hospital in Chicago and some hospital in Columbus. So its a 50/50 shot of me going to Columbus to check it out at some point in the not so distant future
was possibly looking for an evening of beers with some of ya
Nice. Send up the bat signal, when you find out.
There was a discussion about work travel in this thread a few weeks ago. I met with a guy a Swedish guy in Pittsburgh today who has been at our facility since Monday. We went out to lunch and he told me that in the last month or so he's made work trips to Israel, Gambia, some small island in the Atlantic that I've never heard of, Pittsburgh and will be going to Turkey from Pittsburgh. That's some fucking traveling. He said he goes home to Sweden for a few days and then he sets off for 1 to 3 weeks again.
When Alliane turned into Rivals, they cobbled together a bunch of print news affiliates to form the Rivals network. BSB became a Rivals affiliate in 1999 or so, then went to a pay site on Rivals in 2001.
They affiliated with Scout in 2005 or so.
I’ve spent my entire adult life on a series of college football message boards.
Out of curiosity, what software is it?
Casechek, vendor tracking system/scheduling communication portal
Hoosiers favored by 1.5 tomorrow
I actually know someone there, they are chicago-based.
they came out and did their presentation
next step is for them to come back and do a Lean Product Assessment in a week or so
next step after that is going out and seeing a facility that uses it integrated with Epic/OpTime live (Chicago or Columbus)
then we'll go from there
Speaking of recent topics (and i certainly remember the work travel discussion sir), didn't someone recently bring up these bundt cakes?
Yes. They are delicious treats.
Also Kenny Peterson was sort of a bust of a recruit.
I had just started following recruiting around then, but don't ever remember him being a big name recruit like some of the other national names back then before the big recruiting sites (Boston, Katzenmoyer, Rambo, etc.). Per the 2002 media guide, he was first team all-state and the #1 DL in Ohio as a senior, but no mention of HS All American or any other recruiting rankings (although he may have been Defensive Player of the Year in Ohio IIRC). And per his Wikipedia page, he finished college with 84 tackles, 12 sacks, 1 interception, and 3 forced fumbles and was 2nd Team All B1G as a senior before being a 3rd round pick in the NFL Draft and was on NFL rosters from 2003-2009 (last cut on 3/10/10). I would gladly take that type of production out of any DL recruit, regardless of ranking. And he will always be slander-free in my book--despite at one point being suspended for PEDs during his pro career--due to having a great game in the Fiesta Bowl title game vs. Miami (2 sacks and a forced fumble IIRC).
ALL GOOD POINTS CHUCK
“Joe Lunardi just said on ESPN that after the Clemson loss to NC State, Clemson moves out of the field and Ohio State jumps back into the "last 4 in".”
Wish i could give you multiple likes for this solid emoji/face use sir!
ICYMI yesterday, here's a nice recruiting update article regarding a few Ohioans by Andrew Ellis, a contributor over at ElevenWarriors.com
Spoiler: Also, Nevada still thinks OSU gets Jarrett
"And I am the GOAT"
Thought you guys would like that--pretty much the only reason why i shared it ;)
Wait, he actually called himself the GOAT?
He was a bust until his senior year, then played really well in the 2002 title run.
Lick my balls Herb.
Charles DeMar and his stats bomb gets my respect
McKinley had a phenomenal team when Miller was there. Josh McDaniels’ dad coached them.
Unbeaten, back-to-back DI titles, and 1997 USA Today national title. They were cranking out big time players—Mike Doss, Jamar Martin, Peterson.
Peterson was the number one guy in Ohio.
Agree though, he had a very good senior year at OSU.
Big Ten and Big Easy Basketball tournaments in 4K all weekend....I like it
Supposed to get a foot of snow tonight into tomorrow combined with freezing rain now. The wind is supposed to be over 50mph with gusts much higher
