That's pretty quick work on the Google machine there Herb
dukebuckeye have you seen Tombstone or Young Guns?
As a history major, I took a history class on the history of Ohio State. That, and I’m a nerdy geek about this stuff.
There is a circus elephant buried on West Campus by the arboretum.
Circleville area could really have some bad shit happen if the rain doesn't begin to let up....current guess is Scioto crests there around 23 ft...if it goes past 23.36 it will be the highest it's been since 1959...
Assuming these are movies, no.
I’ve at least heard of Tombstone. Not familiar with Young Guns.
This is near downtown Loveland, along the Little Miami River. The flooded building is a canoe rental. The railroad underpass has a 14 foot clearance to drive under and it sits at least 25 feet back from the river.
Young Guns is fucking awesome
6 FC’s for Tuimoloau to us today including the Washington publisher.
What a class.
I can't wait to watch Tuimoloau, Tunmise, and White Xerxes Sawyer destroy some holes
Good lord at this sweet, sweet boi
My dad picked up and kissed Andrew Sweat’s mom on the cheek as we were heading down on the field after the Wisconsin Hail Mary. I fucking died laughing and can still picture that moment clear as day.
Some cool pics here, including Wyatt Davis in the background of a couple (along with dobbins and Ruckert in the background of one each)
When does he announce?
Pick six against Bama was fun (assume that's been mentioned
Fields coming back in after what looked like a season-ending knee injury and dropping a dagger on Michigan last year was great as well
Barrett to Baugh to complete a crazy rally against PSU in '17
Curtis Samuel's game-winning TD against Michigan in '16
I've been bored and rewatching some '02 games. We'll never see anything quite like that team again. It's crazy how hopeless the offense looked at times, especially after Clarett got hurt. But they came through in every key moment
West Coast guys say NLOID
I don't love this unless he picks us in which case I love it more because it will bring more attention to our awesome class.
When is NLOID
Any other 30+ olds keep seeing this in their minds when these guys keep typing that?
NLOID is something to avoid, in fact the phrase “avoid the NLOID” is something people say.
I had the Noid Nintendo game.
nation letter of intent day (signing day)
Early or late?
Im not sure, Huffman didn’t clarify which one.
Mike Hall just moved up from #121 to 59 in the updated 247 rankings. Thus, i think it was an error that this 'thick and powerful' young man dropped to the 400s briefly a few weeks ago
EDIT - Here's the updated 247: https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool
MY SITUATION: With today being my birthday it's probably a good time to say what's probably going to be next for me. There is a new Ohio State website starting soon. I am not one of the owners nor did I come up with the idea. I was offered a position by the new owners and I'm close to having all the details worked out. It will be a subscription site. I will have more free content on that site than I'm putting out in these weekly blogs if we work things out, for those that don't pay for websites. For those that do subscribe, with or without me it's going to be the greatest roster of talent ever assembled in the OSU market. Both in terms of quantity and quality. It's independently owned, so the subscription money goes to this site only, rather than CBS or Yahoo taking 50% of the money for other sites and national writers. Even if I'm not there I would encourage people to check it out. Ohio State has already given the approval for credentials which is rare for a new venture, and that goes directly to the people that started the site. There should be a major announcement coming by the people starting it by next week, so I can't say more than that. The past 3 weeks have shown me that I can play golf every day, see my family, see my girlfriend, and still have time to be a contributor to a fantastic site. I feel pretty confident that all the details will be worked out in the next few days for me to join that staff, because those are all my friends and people I would enjoy working with.
JT and EMEKA: I have both of them IN my projected class. Period. I have Washington out of the picture right now and I'm not buying any other team for either kid. Because of proximity and the pressure of hometown fans, I expect Washington to still be the threat in the end, but they can't change the recent NFL drafts and that's going to be the deciding factor for both. Not buying USC for JT or Clemson/Oklahoma for Egbuka. I have them IN the class for me.
LATHAM and BURTON: I still have OSU as the favorite for Latham and I think the family wants him to take visits in the fall when things open up, and then commit after those visits. No change for me on him being IN the class. For Burton, his decision should be coming before his senior season and I see this as OSU vs UK, and primarily Stud vs Vince Marrow. There is a lot of confidence on both sides from people I've spoken to. OSU should win this one, but I don't really like the Stud vs Marrow matchup for a Kentucky kid, so no prediction from me right now.
TONY GRIMES: Not at all buying the recent Twitter hype of OSU. I don't really have OSU as a player in this one at this time. I think they have a better shot at flipping Jordan Hancock from Clemson than landing Grimes.
JAYLIN DAVIES, DERRICK DAVIS, AND RAESJON DAVIS: Not much change there for me. I think both are in the picture. For Davies, I'm not sure he could call and commit today. For Raesjon Davis, I think he will take an official to OSU in the fall and you go from there. This can happen in my opinion. I know some people thought Barrett Carter was a higher probability for OSU than Davis, but OSU was never in it for Carter. They ARE in it for Raesjon Davis. Derrick Davis will come down to OSU vs Penn State and I think the visits will tell the tale. Not positive he could commit today, but I believe he could.
HUDSON WOLFE: Very warm for this guy and OSU has turned up the heat dramatically. OSU knows Troy Stellato is probably headed to Clemson so that opens up a spot for the second tight end. I won't say he's a done deal, but he might be a done deal to OSU at some point. I would have Wolfe on the verge of being in the class.
JAELEN GILL TO BC: I think he's a heck of a talent and should do well in the ACC. Probably made a good move to transfer if Garrett Wilson is indeed going to be at the slot. Wilson was there in the abbreviated spring practice and if that's his permanent spot then Gill was blocked from the field. Wilson could catch a ton of balls out of the slot and be a faster KJ Hill at that position.
OLAVE LAST YEAR AT OSU? I have an NFL scout I can check in with before each draft to try to get a feel for where guys are projected to go. When looking at next year's draft, he told me that Olave could project as a mid-first to high-second, depending on this season. The NFL people hold him in high regard.
willing to homage bet anyone on here that Chris Olave will not be a mid-first round draft pick.
what pick # does that stop at? 23?
If we land JT Toimoloau, JC Latham, and Emeka Egbuka, and JT Toimoloau falls from 247's #1 ranked player to #2 and the rest of the top 13 remains the same, we will become the first school in 247 history to sign the first 6 prime numbers in 247's rankings.
1. JT Toimoloau
3. JC Latham
5. Jack Sawyer
7. Emeka Egbuka
11. Donovan Jackson
13. TreVeyon Henderson
For what it's worth Tony Grimes is ranked 19th.
Fun read of Rich Rod memories ..
Mid first is 11-25 to me. Betting that he'll go in one of the 15 picks there out of a likely 90 or so is a silly bet to me.
I say 90 because I think the end of the third round is an absolute floor
Will negotiate if anyone wants to take the bet, but I'd say 19-21.
Givler's guy projected mid first to high second.
The 25th pick is in the bottom 3/4 of the first round
I think low 20's is where I'd project him going. He's not a physical freak and you don't go in the top 15 as a wr unless you're a physical freak in some way
I'll bet anyone that Chris Olave does not go in the top 23. that seems more than fair for mid-first.
I'm not taking that bet. He's not got the physical traits to go in the top 10-15. I'd be limiting myself to him going in ~8 picks. There's way too many unknown variables.
Picks 16 through 17.
Lots of info in that thread
- Decision made so student athletes could work out on campus rather than public gyms.
- Only 10 student athletes allowed at a time
- Looking at social distancing concepts that would max capacity of Shoe at 20,000-22,000
- He believes decision on season needs to happen by early July.
- Thinks 6 weeks of full practices before season are needed but 4-5 could work if time used wisely.
- He’s not 100% comfortable playing games this fall, hopes to get there and better than he was but not there now.
- Not sure what will happen with a positive test.
I think you have to test each team and staff person weekly. If you get a positive test, that person is out for two weeks.
In the German Bundesliga, they’re doing that but the testing occurs I think 48 hours before games and they have to isolate at a hotel for those 48 hours
He looks super jacked up.
So, what you are saying is Fields, Teague, Davis and Olave will need to live in a quarantine house...and we will test the Sorostitutes weekly that will be allowed into the house to service them as well.
I’m 100% sure “German Bundesliga” isn’t not as dirty as it sounds, but it sounds like something you can request in certain areas of Prague.
