Partner bought me a little personalized embosser that we stamp on the first page of every book we read together. A TMB one would sell like hot cakes(to the dozen or so of us).
I’m pretty stingy w my 10s. Basically has to knock my socks off. Buuuut I must be stingier than I thought. Expected to see a few more books that I read and loved.
There’s a good amount that are from me in there I think. A lot of the major history books. Definitely see one by a former mentor and professor that I rated a 10, I’m sure no one else has read it.
I like Sally Rooney quite a bit. Normal People was very good. The other two, a bit less so. I think I had Normal People in the 9 range
I'm surprised "In Cold Blood" isn't on here. I'm reading it now and will be rating 10/10 unless things go majorly downhill in the second half.
I don’t remember what I gave it but I’d have to think it was 9.5 or 10 based on how much I remember enjoying it.
Looks like I read it in 2017 and never finished updating the Books You Read in 2017 thread, but gave it 5 stars in Goodreads.
I looked it up gave it an 8. I cant remember if that's just purely because of reading experience or finding out a lot of it was just made up BS.
