1. Amen 2. They’re culpable but not liable. It’s not a whole lot different than John Wayne shilling for Camel Cigarettes. 3. Millennials as a whole are becoming a generation without accountability. Which is what honestly surprised me the most about Billy sitting down for the Hulu one. I’m sure he thought he was owning it to help any future ventures but he came across as a moron. Because he is most certainly a moron.
He took the email list and sent out offerings for VIP passes to events that he didnt have access to. The Met Gala, Fashion Week, Jay-Z concerts ect.
Idk spending a ton of money to stand in muddy fields alongside thousands of smelly people high on drugs sounds way more fun
The portapotties on day 3 was the grossest thing I’ve ever seen. Three days of hippie shit that had crowned over the top of the bowls. You had to hover to add your own brand to the pile. I don’t think they emptied those things until after the festival ended.
That’s usually a thing that happens with first year festivals. They don’t realize those have to be serviced every morning. Had my shits timed at Waka to perfection right after they got through cleaning the toilets and refilling the tp. Had stage fright the whole first day but then realized they were cleaning them the next morning and was good after that.
Depends on the festival. Not a big fan of camping festivals now but ACL and Lollapolooza and festivals like that are basically a vacation with going to concerts at night for me now.
My wife and I went to bonnaroo three years ago and besides getting to see three insanely hot hippie chicks dancing around naked it was kinda brutal. Festivals are a young man’s game.
The Hulu one was much better, imo. If you watch the Hulu one - the last 30 min or so in the NF has some good stuff from within the org.
2. I disagree. The influencers concealed that it was an advertisement. They actively misled people by vouching for the festival, and some (Kendall Jenner), misrepresented facts that they knew (or should’ve known) weren’t true — e.g., she wasn’t going, Kanye wasn’t performing, etc.
When we were younger, Camping > non-camping. we’re all probably too old now, but being with your friends for a 3 day party with constant music is an incredible time. you would have to be a complete weirdo to not have a great experience. And of course, you’ll only see ppl who have never done anything interesting or out of character in their life, make such an assumption like they wouldn’t have fun at one lol.
I think one of their NYC friends organized, and they just bought tickets without really looking into it. Either way, I think it's an NYC thing. Not my GF's type of thing at all.
Don’t be a close-minded idiot, Devine. Of course you would have had a good time with your friends at a music festival. You really think you would have hated it?
I think I'd kill myself if I ever found myself at the same function as that Austin Mills guy because I would know I had critically and irreversibly failed at some key step of human development
now this is all time post, wow. I mean, did you ever tailgate? the set-up is like your entire crew tailgating with music nearby. if you would have gone to say Hangout fest when younger, that's all fsu/uf kid's. It would not have been possible for you to not have fun. i think you're assuming you would have to interact with someone you didn't want too or be forced into things or be miserable, but of course that's not the case. ever been to a concert?
Bonnaroo, Coachella, etc seem absolutely terrible. But goddamn do I wanna get my ass to Wanee or Peach Fest one of these years
I could have had fun at a one-day festival in college. Camping out at a festival? Absolute not. I don’t enjoy living in filth
well, i can't defend the filth (they do have showers though fyi). I'm assuming you hate camping in general and i'm not a big camper either. although rv's are possible. my point is just simply that a festival is hanging with friends, getting drunk, and listening to music. that's it. so with that being said, of course you would have had fun, you're just being a jerk (and a tad rude, pal) about it. maybe you don't like drugs or hippies and that's all fine, but let's not pretend like you and Tobias wouldn't *have a hilarious time while generating a 30 page thread. *we may be on to something here actually.
devine I hate to break it to you but camping at a music festival is probably cleaner than the bed bug ridden hotels on the Las Vegas strip.
Now that I think about it - that older gay guy really is a turd. His line about having post traumatic symptoms after it was over is ridiculous. Feeling guilty because you finally were honest with yourself that you willingly let some douche whose 30 years younger than you dupe you into cheating a lot of people out of a lot of money is not PTSD. Feel bad for me because I feel bad about what I did
I’m happy to see Ja Rule getting destroyed in all of his Instagram comments. I remember the general consensus when this all came out was ja was just hired talent and didn’t play a role/know
Him trying to rally the troops on that conference all... ooof. "It's not fraud, maybe just false advertising"
I would have a good time at a metal festival probably. Stuff like Coachella and Bonnaroo that are mostly a mish mash of stuff I'm not into or actively dislike is a no for me
Love concerts, hate festivals. Shortened sets and just usually logistically uncomfortable. Enjoyed the Hulu Doc. Hadn’t seen the Netflix one.. worth a watch?
As I said earlier, it's worth it, but not nearly as good. Id still watch the last 30 min or so of the NF one. Has some good stuff from people within Billy's team that wasnt covered in the Hulu doc.
