MIA's U.S. visa must still be an issue She's playing a fest a week before this in Mexico, so would have to think she meant to be here
Doesn't Krasno play with Lettuce, and hasn't in a while? Wonder if that means 1st weekend we'll see him sit in with them.
http://austin.culturemap.com/news/entertainment/11-18-16-levitation-cancels-2017-festival/ Well that sucks
Well, I don't hate it. Probably the only chance I'll have to see Radiohead and even though I am not a fanboy they are Radiohead and I would love to see them at least once.
From what I've read someone in the know confirmed it. Always take it with a grain of salt. I saw Radiohead and Kendrick at ACL. Both were great shows.
They are arguably (or maybe inarguably) the preeminent rock band of their generation. I would definitely like to see them even though I don't spend much time listening to Radiohead these days. I always enjoy it when I do. Think I will go listen to Hail to the Thief right now actually.
Current mock poster from somebody who is good at these things. I'm not completely sold on Beyonce, Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar being true but would be excited by it.
She's normally rumored in a "maybe this is the year" hypothetical way much like The Rolling Stones and Daft Punk, but I can't remember another year she was a part of a leak that seems like it might have some legs, or as strongly correlated to the lineup as this year. She's pretty much a #1 booking (e.g. most expensive headliner) at any festival in the U.S. (and maybe globally at this point), and Coachella threw a lot of resources/money at the Outkast reunion in 2014, GnR reunion last year, and snagging AC/DC's return in 2015. So maybe they knew this was a year they couldn't get a big reunion headliner and with her just finishing her latest tour, it makes sense for her too and things seem to be aligned.
Coachella headliner leak seeming fairly believable at this point. A lot of the other potential headliners (Coldplay, Mumford, RHCP, the Weeknd, etc.) have tour dates or schedules that make them highly unlikely. Beyonce just seems like a logical #1 to me and Radiohead appears to be doing an early spring U.S. tour, in which case it seems likely they'd play Coachella. Just wonder if they will try to put on a sub-headliner promote (Bon Iver, Frank Ocean...) after Kendrick Lamar (like how the Weeknd closed the main stage after Jack White in 2015) and/or if they have any interest in the Smashing Pumpkins reunion. Metallica seems like the only other headliner that screams "they might be there," but maybe seemed like too much of the same following AC/DC and GnR (they've also played most U.S. fests vs. the other two who have done none).
I saw that. It also might be them telling when the lineup will be out. Mumford will be there from what I've seen. I hope it's a solid lineup. I want to go back.
I so ready to see a full lineup but I honestly hope that doesn't happen. If Mumford is there that would mean I'd likely have to go to hangout
Hangout lineup looks fucking awful http://liveforlivemusic.com/news/2017-lineup-hangout-music-festival-officially-jam-free/
You edited out the line up poster before I could opine on this year's lineup. My opinion still stands Lol what the fuck is this garbage
Noticed that Tiffin had already posted it, but it originally wasn't showing up for me. But anyway, yes it's very bad. My buddies are all disappointed because we were all considering meeting up for the weekend there this year. Now that ain't happening. Holding out for Lock'n now. Got a good laugh at Shaggy making the Hangout card. Wtf
It's funny because I think me and my friends are probably skipping Lockn next year. Their prices just keep going up. Presale prices are up to opening prices, camping passes up $50. And it's just a long haul from Alabama. It's a good fest, but this year's was very different with Phish and I hope they go back to what they had in 2014 and 2015. More music, more sit ins, big tribute sets. Already got tickets to Sweetwater 420. Waiting to see what Wanee looks like this year.
