Looks like Tom Petty and WSP are a couple of the headliners. Some are saying Paul McCartney but he will be overseas the first weekend so who knows.
WSP are on "hiatus" from touring this year but said specifically they would remain involved with festivals that they are traditionally a part of like Jazzfest/Wannee. So that makes sense. If they had TP and Sir Paul I'm definitely getting a full pass this year
Ah good to know. I was just passing along what I've read. Seems like they are a lock according to all the "sources" haha. Ya if TP and PM go I might have to make a return.
Blind Presale for Day for Night. Real early damn. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/day-for-night-2017-blind-presale-tickets-30098939739
Current rumors for Jazz Fest. Take with a grain of salt as usual. Macca, Dead & Co, Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, Pitbull, Nas, Lorde, Alabama Shakes, Wilco, Tom Petty, Dave Matthew & Tim Reynolds, The Meters, Dr. John, TAB, WSP Tiffin
Goldenvoice wasn't messing around this year. Pound for pound it'll be hard to top that lineup this year in the U.S., and they did a good job of trying to separate acts between this/FYF and Coachella. But hard to believe tickets are only $30 less than Coachella for like 1/3 of the acts. Guess that's New York.
This makes me interested to see Fireflys lineup later this month since Goldenvoice is now working with Red Frog
That's been the weekend they have Texas EggFest for the last 3 years that we always get a group to compete in. At Camp Ben on Saturday morning from 7-3. Get hammered and cook stuff on BGE for people to sample. I'm guessing this means it's gonna be pushed back to the following weekend? It's always the weekend after tax season gets over and the same day as Eeyore's Birthday party.
I can see it. LCD headlined probably double digit festivals last year (off the top of my head Coachella, Lolla, Bonnaroo, ACL, Panorama, FYF, the one in St. Louis, probably a few more I'm forgetting) so for a lot of people going to this fest it may feel like a retread. Think this is the XX's first Atlanta show in 4 years and probably their only one this tour.
That's the rumor. Could be complete bullshit but people seem to think this Jazz Fest will be the tits.

NEW YORK (AP) — Musical trio Major Lazer and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd are set to perform at the medieval-themed Middlelands festival in Texas in May. Organizers announced Wednesday that DJ Kaskade, musical duo Phantogram, DJ-producer Marshmello and others will perform May 5-7 at the Texas Renaissance Festival Fairgrounds in Todd Mission, Texas. The festival will include five stages with Middle Ages themes. Tickets are on sale. Other performers include DJ Alison Wonderland, DJ Bassnectar, electronic band Crystal Castles, hip-hop artist Danny Brown, hip-hop group Flatbush Zombies, electronic duo Galantis, hip-hop group Jurassic 5, electronic musician Zhu and DJ-producer Seven Lions. Major Lazer includes the hit-making DJ-producer Diplo, while Rae Sremmurd hit the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year with the jam, "Black Beatles."
Ya I saw that but I'm hoping for some more bands. It's pretty close to where I live so I'd like to go camp out.

Really wasnt expecting them to get a lineup that good. Took Gov Ball's top two headliners then put up a better undercard. I'm not a huge fan of the headliners really, but Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, the XX, Solange, and Tool on a U.S. festival bill is pretty great. Probably now the new "pound for pound" best fest lineup and second in "acts I want to see" to Coachella
