ACLs lineup is out tomorrow but they are releasing lyrics through their app right now of people playing. Ice Cube, The Head and the Heart, and First Aid Kit so far.
Unfortunately not this year. Going to Moab that weekend now. Movement and SXM Festival are at the top of my list for festivals next year.
I love him as much as anyone else, but Chance can fuck right off playing every god damn festival and taking spots away from other rappers I want to see.
that's just an odd post. is there a limit on how many rap artists festival organizers can book? Ah shit we can't get anymore rap artists we already have ___ many, only indie rock for the rest! Guy gives away his music for free and accepts offers to offers from festival organizers so that his fans can see him perform... "fuck right off"? very weird direction to channel that anger. maybe rethink it and tell companies like Live Nation or whoever to fuck off for not booking your faves... or maybe tell your faves to fuck off for not being available or being too expensive? Maybe I'm missing something here I'm not even that big of a Chance fan
just with quick googling i see: sasquatch, firefly, pemberton, hangout, bonnaroo, and governors ball. don't know if the string of 1-day texas Jmbalaya shows count. he's just doing a lot of shows on this tour (at least it seems like a lot hell it may be average). good for him and his fans. At least he's good and it's not someone shitty headlining those shows
It's not hating on chance but he's literally on every lineup. This is his second Austin festival this year. It's not that there's a limit to the number of rappers, but there's a limit to funds. I'd rather see other headliners at least here and there on lineups. I'd rather see Kanye, Asap, Kendrick, Childish, JayZ, Future, just some that would probably make me buy an ACL tickets over Chance since by then he would have been at 2-3 fests I've been to this year and played twice in Atlanta in the past year.
Are any of those guys on many lineups this year? Isnt Chance cheaper because this is his first year breaking through the top of these cards? Those are my initial thoughts
Yeah, I understand not everyone is available, but all the Fest organizers are just super lazy for throwing him on everything. It's fatiguing lineups. Some headliners definitely garner more money, but just because it's his first round really headlining and he's independent doesn't mean he's not pulling in close to seven figures
It works pretty good. Commuting from a hotel in The Woodlands is a bit of a pill, at least on Friday, but it's a good layout, easy to move around, etc.
I'm headed to Forecastle with some friends in July- have heard great things about it but haven't been before. Worst case, I'll sit at Haymarket and drink bourbon all weekend.
Shit I'm in VIP My 3-inch dick is now on the look out. Chick I'm with is gonna have a Notre Dame phd, but that ain't an Olympic gold medal and an ass that would break my modest cock off
That's solid as hell with a handful of announcements left. Still haven't seen Houndmouth since Katie left. Would love to but they've mostly only played festivals nowhere near me.
Not sure who all is going, but if anyone is looking for Hangout tickets I've got a buddy trying to get rid of 2. He said "less than the $300 they're going for online."

Documents also show the festival owes US $2.5 million to its creditors. Festival directors determined they were unable to meet the festival’s financial obligations as a result of decreased ticket sales and increased operating losses. Organizers say they have collected $8,225,000 in ticket revenue so far this year. The budgeted expenses stand at $22,000,000. They say the festival has been significantly impacted since 2015 by a weakening Canadian dollar relative to the US dollar. Shareholders and investors funded several million dollars to cover the festival’s cash losses over the last three years. Last summer, it was revealed a group of security guards were still owed money for working at the festival the year before. In the minutes before today’s announcement, the festival’s website said all but the $369 regular tickets were sold out. Both the website and the festival’s Twitter account have now been scrapped. Huka Entertainment, the promoter and planner for the cancelled festival, said in a statement: “For the past four years, Huka Entertainment has worked to create a one-of-a-kind experience in the most beautiful place on earth. We are heartbroken to see the 2017 Pemberton Music Festival cancelled. As a contract producer, Huka did not make the decision to cancel the festival. That decision was made by the Pemberton Music Festival, LP. We are extremely disappointed for our fans, artists and all of our partners who have supported the festival over the years.” The summer camping music festival was supposed to take place July 13-16. This year’s lineup included such high-profile performers as Muse, Chance the Rapper, A Tribe Called Quest and dozens of other acts. Pemberton Music Festival crime The Pemberton Music Festival was first held as a three-day event in 2008. It was not held for five years between 2009 and 2013, resuming in 2014 under different ownership.
Leaving for Summer Camp Thursday, getting back memorial day Monday and flying out to Colorado that Wednesday for Bisco Inferno. This is the biggest concert undertaking to date for me. I expect to be full zombie mode by the time June gets here.
