Has anyone actually been to the beale street music festival? How was it? Looking to buy tix in the next day or two
Pure trash and far from a doozy, save Sturgill and War on Drugs imo. Had low expectations. This is clearly catering to the people in Denver that listen to radio Top 40 music. Hoping War on Drugs will do a separate show sometime before or after this. Really been wanting to see them.
What were you expecting? That's pretty dang solid for a mid-tier, brand new fest. Unless you were expecting a completely different genre
There'd a good act on every line of that lineup. Not out of this world, but I don't see pure trash. And I'm not even into rap or edm stuff.
This will be my third time going (2015, 2012). It is decent. Don’t love the organization of the stages in Tom Lee Park - makes for some very long walks. That said, it’s always a good to very good lineup and isn’t typically as oppressively crowded as many other festivals. There’s a lot to do in downtown Memphis and South Main post-show every night too.
Lolla lineup is out and seems terrible (this is without digging into the undercard, but the headliners don't excite me at all). A few of these artists were here just last year (Arizona, lil uzi vert, etc.). I won't be buying a 4 day for the first time in like 5 years. Leaning toward buying for the vampire weekend day and that's it. Who all would you want to see on this list?
Under card is quite deep. I don't care for the headliners, but they should hit well with the 16-24 demographic that is usually in attendance. I'll skip this year
Well damn, some acts I really wanna see, but the crowd is gonna make me wanna punch somebody. Already purchased passes, so we’ll see.
I'd see Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, The National, and Vampire Weekend on separate days. AM, The National, and VW are three of my favorite bands, though. Mid-card is kind of a mess - St. Vincent would be my only must see, then PtM, Tyler, and Chrches as other acts to consider. It's not terrible but I wouldn't be too disappointed.
Tensnake is legit. Richie Hawtin >>>> Dixon. But seeing both would be pretty good for a non-electronic focused festival.
DJ rankings are generally pretty clownish. Seen Dixon once and listened to plenty of his mixes. Is there some magical mix of his that I'm missing? He's not in the top 10 I've seen but I'd still pay to go see him and be happy about it.
On 2nd thought, this years Lolla is way better than last years. Don’t @ me, please respect my decision, no calls/texts/DMs.
Probably a long shot but figured I’d ask here... Anyone looking for Coachella weekend 1 ticket? Just found out today I tore my ACL and have to have surgery, so I won’t be able to go. Asking for cost $430. PM me if interested.
Might have more luck here https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...m-tickets-on-sale-1-5-at-12-00-pm-pdt.120581/
Sorry about that dude. I might be able to help you out. Have two buddies looking for tickets. PM me with how you'd want to do it and let me check with them if they still need tix.
