Thread needs a title change. Gold Cup Sponsored by El Chapo Thread or something. I dunno but bad tournament deserves bad thread title.
One of my friends was working sideline security last night for the mexico panama game. He said at one point he looked down and there was a dress shoe next to him thrown from the crowd.
There was a huge brawl that went down during extra time behind the AO section. Not sure what started it but I'm sure there's a video or two on YouTube.
Yeah, dont have anyone that wanted to go. Was going to join you lads so I had a place to sit. Wife is in DC this weekend.
CoastalOrange TobiasFunke-Analrapist I'll shoot you guys a message tomorrow with my number if I'll make the trip.
Just saw the replay of mexicos first pk and its even worse than when I first saw it. Not only did he fall on the ball, he intentionally moves his arms away from the ball when he hit the ground. In no world is that a pk.
Anyone watching this Uruguay-Brazil match in the Pan-Am games? Uruguay with 2 late goals to take a 2-1 lead, Brazil just hit one off the post. All youngsters so its not that big of a deal but still pretty exciting.
Taylor Twellman/Jason Davis were going off on it on SoccerMorning and stated that even if you want to call a foul there for touching the ball with your hand it is clearly an unintentional handball that doesn't stop any attempt on goal and should be an indirect free kick. In no world is that ever a penalty. Guardado said he thought about just kicking it out.
I don't blame them 1 bit for their claims, they are from a corrupt country and got a big dick in the ass from an incompetent ref.
Panama is actually an awesome country. Panama City is very similar to Miami. The currency is dollars. The Prime Minister went to Arkansas. It is probably the best and nicest country with a population over 50,000 in CONCACAF outside US and Canada. Way nicer than Costa Rica. Would go there a hundred times before wanting to go to Mexico.
Mexico thoroughly dominates Jamaica 3-1 and wins its 7th gold cup. That silly playoff will be in Pasadena.
from what I read on twitter he slapped an Azteca reporter in the airport and his daughter took a swing at Luis Garcia.
