I don't understand why fans can't admit it's embarrassing as fuck when their teams pull that shit. I'm a Chelsea fan and it's embarrassing when Costa, Ivanovic, etc dive, writhe around, etc. Retroactive action can easily be taken and rules can be changed to stop this shit but the people with the authority don't care.
According to a reporter, Guardado contemplated kicking the ball out of bounds. But he said he didn't because he's a professional and he's been on the wrong side of these calls before. It's part of the game. Tonight was absolutely a shit show. Whether it was incompetence or corruption is the debate. I tend to lean on the former.
I hate everything about what happened tonight, but people who legitimately believe Guardado should have kicked it out might be dumber than Mark Geiger.
