Sounds like the changes to the CL were a necessary evil. Also, instead of just blaming the PL, why don't the other leagues step out of the 19th century and be better at selling their products
Thanks for sharing. Excellent interview. Being in the top 4 leagues will be even more crucial once this is approved. RoyalShocker Serie A better get their shit together. How close are they to slipping to 5th?
It's gonna be an interesting 2nd half with Roma trying to hold on with 10 men. Halftime scores: Celtic 3 - 0 Hapoel Dundalk 0 - 0 Legia Porto 0 - 1 Roma Ludogorets 0 - 0 Viktoria Villarreal 1 - 1 Monaco
Just saw the highlights, that was pretty fucking bad. Also, Verm has about 3 or 4 more of those for you this season. Otherwise he will be solid.
Today's Matches: Hapoel Beer Sheva v Celtic (ESPN3) [Agg: 2-5] Legia Warszawa v Dundalk (ESPN3) [Agg: 2-0] Monaco v Villarreal (FS2) [Agg: 2-1] Roma v Porto (FS1) [Agg: 1-1] Viktoria Plzen v Ludogorets [Agg: 0-2]
Man I really thought I had the TV covered this time! And don't ignore the huge Ludogorets following here!
Normally there will always be a match on Fox Soccer Plus along with FS2. Sometimes (like last Wednesday) Fox will throw something else on FS1 though. Though last year for group stage they did FS1, FS2, Fox Sports local and then did multimatch90 on Fox Soccer Plus which was pretty cool as a Red Zone type channel that jumped around. Basically if someone had a set piece they were showing it, they did pretty good about getting a lot of goals live but if not they'd quickly cut to a replay of one they missed
Bump with the group draw on Thursday. Looks like also if Ajax advances they're the only that would bump up into pot 3 that I didn't have before Ajax (NED) 58.112
What will the attendance be like at The Etihad tomorrow. I wouldn't blame their fans one bit if the stadium is only half full. Checking the score on my phone every half hour is about all the effort I would put in as a fan for the match.
I hope De Rossi sees a lot of the bench this year. Dutch Jesus, Paredes, and Nainggolan are all better players.
I'm sure the gameplan will be as dull as possible. I don't think Pep is like Spurrier where he gets his rocks off by running up the score. It'll probably be like 2-0 City with them having 90% possession.
I was reading that Paredes was terrible in the first half tonight. Either way, everyone seems to have very high hopes for him.
Roma really got fucked by the draw. There are several tiny clubs playing today and they're playing a team that will more than likely make it to the round of 16.
None of the small teams playing today were in the league route so they couldn't have been matched with Roma.
