5th place in the EPL! Seriously that is a good question though. I'd imagine Ajax might qualify automatically and the team behind them in the Dutch table would then go into a playoff? Because they technically wouldn't be using the slot from their league finish. Complete guess.
don't think that is the case because if United would have finished top four, 5th place in the EPL wasn't getting the spot.
whoever wins in August through qualification phase https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–...fying_phase_and_play-off_round#Play-off_round
so apparently nice would move up to the champions league playoff slot because they finished third in ligue 1 http://www.espnfc.us/blog/espn-fc-u...ropa-league-means-for-champions-league-places
This. 100% this. Get Mario into a group with Juve and let's all hope for him to do something magical, whether it be a hat trick or some absurd sending off.
I know this is the thread for this year but I don't feel like starting the thread for next season yet
Already looking forward to people calling Spurs "bottlers" after they fail to advance in a pool with Barca and Bayern
With Spurs, Liverpool, Ajax, and Napoli in pot 3 then Roma, Nice, and Leipzig in pit 4 there are going to be some tough groups
Petito Ace Boogie another one in which I have no idea about offside. Ignore the awful missed handball call and explain to me how he's not involved
I'll throw out a random guess. The official will claim that he wasn't involved because he never touche the ball
If you wanna get conspiratorial it was because Arsene already put out the narrative that Anthony Taylor is biased against Arsenal. Just a reminder that Arsenal fans will endlessly complain about Mourinho controlling the narrative in favor of himself.
When did Wenger say anything about Taylor since the suspension? It is pretty funny though that teams that treat the refs the worst seem to get the most calls.
There is absolutely no justification for Taylor getting the appointment for the final with what had occurred earlier in the season. The FA is beyond retarded for putting an official in such a difficult situation before a ball is even kicked. Arsenal deserved to win the match but that was some atrocious officiating - especially considering his linesman had made the correct call to begin with.
Not sure if this Dani Alves story for Player's Tribune was posted yet or not. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/dani-alves-juventus-the-secret/
At the moment I have travelled to London from South Wales for a work thing. I am getting a train from here back to Cardiff in a couple of hours, then getting some drinks and catching the train back to London at 11.30pm - to get up tomorrow and catch the train back to Cardiff to go home. But should be a great night regardless
Its about 2.5 hours each way. I am on the Northern Belle which is an Oriental Express type train chartered by the company I am with, so we are not travelling with the plebs. We're currently about half way to Cardiff, and 3/4 way through a 4 course meal.
bale on the bench for the final in his home country. he coming back from injury, or is the decision tactical?
